Fun fact, the IRS paid $3.3 billion in “refund interest” in FY 2021. In other words, the IRS was so slow in processing refunds to some taxpayers, that they had to pay interest on those late refund payments.
Those interest payments have only been trending upward. The IRS is broken but legacy media will defend it simply because “Trump bad”
Reminder the last federal budget that ran a surplus was under Bill Clinton, and under Bill Clinton the federal government cut 426,200 federal jobs.
Trump and DOGE are doing what has been long overdue.
It’s shocking that every single federal employee needs to be reminded that at any given moment they could lose their job based on performance or a lack of need.
It’s the same thing in the private sector, the only difference is apparently the media will run sob stories on you if you lose your job in the federal government
The media has basically taken the stance that everyone inside the federal government does an essential job and their performance has been impeccable. There isn’t a single layout they haven’t cried foul over.

Let me highlight the now imprisoned former Senator from New Jersey Bob Menedez.
He was convicted of accepting bribes from foreign entities including Egypt. During the investigation prosecutors found 13 gold bars in his home.
