In the dark a small light of hope would appear it is satoshi and it meant to stay. it is such a pleasure to be here. I believe in ownership and definitely against censorship about any matter. Crypto came as a key and it is time to find where it lays, yeash sure the fiat 's graveyard.

We all had that turning point of our lives where we feel like it will change everything we used to know.

For me it was BTC, through communities and friends i ended up learning how is the money's system so broken and that BTC came to fix it with its unconventional yet simple terms.

Now What has inspired you to be part of this huge deal?

#BTC is the answer

Recently Iโ€™ve been thinking about the diversity of BTC based games, so with that i came with the idea of building a small game inspired by the classic NES tank game Battle City, feeling a bit nostalgic right you might remember it, it was super fun back in the days.

my dev skills are still humble, but I really want to learn and build this as a side project, maybe it will see the sunlight

So I want to reimagine it with a Bitcoin twist something like tanks on the blockchain, defending nodes, mining blocks, maybe even dodging fiat missiles ๐Ÿ˜…. Wouldn't that be kinda cool!!

It'd be definitley the same retro-style, top-down arcade game nothing huge.

With all what i have thiught about, What do you think of it ? Would you play something like this? Any ideas to enhance the game plot are welcome Also, if anyone wants to help or just follow along as I build it, let me know!

Stay sovereign ๐ŸŸ ๐Ÿ’ฅ Nostr.

Well, mostly because they chase the fleeting qnd abandon the eternal then out of the blue wonder why nothing ever lasts, not even their joy.

There is actually a Btc based player like the concept you just mentioned it has some similair feature like Fountain but this one is for like artist only, i think it is good but has some restrictions for new users that want to be artist or simply releasing their songs and music, however it is worth checking. In a world where nothing is guaranteed, history has shown us that governments and corporations are willing to ban or censor media and data to suit their own agendas.

That's why I believe that owning physical media let it be downloading it from the net and store it in you hard drive that is essential.

In a censorship driven era and profit driven motives, owning things like retro video games, movies, and music isn't just a hobby it has become a necessity. Digital platforms can change their terms of service any time they desire, remove content, or even shut down their services. so By owning the physical item or backing up the digital one that is when you have a copy that can't be taken away from you.

With that saying It's yours to enjoy, share, and preserve for the future, free from the whims of those who seek to control our access to information and art.

We bought the dream, the promise bright,

And now we cling with all our might.

They say to "hodl," to hold the line,

While our paper gains turn to dust and pine.

They call it the promised amuse,

A golden gleam, the bridge to the starry sky.

Magnificent looking fellar. That ray of dreedom hooyah.

I think the Algerian goverment went too far with passing of the law that total ban of crypto trading and owning, i believe in financial freedom and that is BTC is the key and it will always reamin so, the whole world is regulating and trying to find secure ways to enrich their reserve let it be gold or BTC meanwhile we go full block mode with up to 7700 fee for owning it. That is huge dissapointement.

Thank god that platform such as NOSTRICH and other no kyc btc wallets exists.

With Bitcoin hitting all-time highs, self-custody isnโ€™t just an optionโ€”itโ€™s essential.

Leaving BTC on an exchange? A risky bet.

The real choice: hot wallet vs. cold wallet. Understanding the trade-offs between managing Bitcoin on internet-connected devices or a hardware wallet is key to safeguarding your BTC. ๐Ÿงต

---

Hot wallets are always connected to the internet, making them convenient for quick transactions but vulnerable to online threats. They include web wallets, mobile wallets, and desktop wallets.

While each offers benefits, their constant internet connection exposes them to potential risks.

---

Web wallets are the least secure, with private keys stored in the browser or on a web server. This high exposure means your assets are only as safe as the browserโ€™s defenses - high convenience, high risk.

Web wallets arenโ€™t recommended for long- or mid-term Bitcoin holdings but are useful for quick payments or connecting to websites.

---

Mobile wallets, like Blockstream Green, BlueWallet, and Muun, offer slightly more security, with private keys stored on your phone. Phones generally have secure elements for key protection, but mobile wallets are still online, meaning your Bitcoin remains at risk if the device is compromised. Mobile wallets are great for day-to-day payments and mid-term holdings but arenโ€™t suited for long-term storage of large holdings.

---

Blockstream Green allows users to add an extra layer of security for larger or long-term holdings on a mobile wallet by offering 2FA-protected accounts. This enhanced security means an attacker would need both your recovery phrase and 2FA to access your wallet. Setting up multiple 2FA methods is recommended, prioritizing the authenticator app on a separate device, with options like email, SMS, or call as backups.

---

Desktop wallets, such as Blockstream Green, Sparrow, and Electrum, run on your computer and store private keys locally. While theyโ€™re generally safer than web wallets, desktop wallets are still exposed to online threats. Malware or viruses can compromise your keys, making desktop wallets more secure than web or mobile wallets but not invulnerable.

---

Blockstream Green on desktop also offers 2FA-protected accounts, adding a strong layer of defense: even if someone gains access to your device or knows your PIN, they canโ€™t spend your funds without your 2FA method. Even if someone has your primary recovery phrase, 2FA is still required for fund access. However, if you lose your 2FA method, you wonโ€™t be able to access your funds for ~ 365 days until the CSV timelock expires.

---

Using a Bitcoin node, like Bitcoin Core, connects you directly to the network, adding control by bypassing third-party servers. However, if private keys are stored on an internet-connected computer, theyโ€™re still at risk. Pairing a Bitcoin Core node with a hardware wallet through Hardware Wallet Integration (HWI)โ€”a solution developed by Blockstream Researchโ€™s achow101 - significantly enhances security by keeping keys offline, though it requires careful setup.

https://github.com/bitcoin-core/HWI

---

Cold wallets, also known as hardware wallets, are designed for ultimate security. A hardware wallet like Blockstream Jade generates and stores your private keys offline, making them virtually immune to remote attacks.

When a hardware wallet is paired with a hot wallet for transaction signing, the hot wallet coordinates the transaction, sends it to the hardware wallet for signing, then the hardware wallet sends it back to the hot wallet to broadcast.

---

With a hardware wallet, your keys are generated offline and never touch an internet-connected device.

---

In the end, each wallet type has its role, but for the highest security, an open-source hardware wallet - a cold wallet - is essential for safeguarding Bitcoin.

Donโ€™t wait until you have a hardware wallet to start self-custody. A mobile wallet is fine for beginners - practice backing up, sending, and receiving Bitcoin now. As your holdings grow, you can upgrade to a hardware wallet for added security

I have always been thinking of buying a Btc cold wallet but where i live they have restrictions over owning crypto or trade it that is considered as a crime, that is bs so i have tried to look abroad for some good offers but still i was concerned that i will get scammed since there is 50% i will be fooled by buying a non real product and the other 20% i will get hacked since the buyer may install a malicious hardware on it. So afterall, my hope to get my hands on one since it has become an essential part of our lives to get to the financial freedom

Heard the news about the criminalize and total ban of crypto in Algeria, i think the goverment doesn't have any other affairs to tail, the issue is that USDT and BTC became a major player in forging the way and easiness to pay for online services. But after that don't know how to pay for my ps4 plus lol.
