The hype is real (within the bitcoin community). Time will tell how widely utilized Nostr will be. But we have our space now and every sad fiat-loving soul who wanders into Nostr has a good chance to stay and become a bitcoiner.

Nostr in 2023 is like the Cello browser in early the http days. We have yet to see 2% of the microservices which will be built on the Nostr websocket protocol.
