Dear #nostr I am concerned that our current http media hosting model in the Nostrverse is very centralized and is also open to manipulation and censorship. Also, media hosting is expensive, which gives me concerns for the sustainability of our fledgling universe. Paid relays show there is a willingness to share in the cost. I have been noodling on how we can create a media micro service on the Nostr protocol. I bet others are too. Here is my dumb idea 💡, beat it up 🤕 and tell me how we improve 🤔

That’s why I switched 100% income to bitcoin. It’s too late when hyperinflation strikes. It’s easy enough to spend BTC with a little extra effort and you will benefit in the long run as the money printers never rest.
I think journalism can fit #value4value model, and we will benefit from independent journalists. Paywalls just haven’t worked well for journalism. And yes, we are too often the product.
I think both. There are many paywalled media hosting platforms; while people won’t pay for journalism they will certainly pay for other types of media content patreon, cameo, only fans.
Perhaps a message needs to be signed with a Nostr private key to post a web request for an image. Clients could automate signing / posting process so that users either see the image or see an alternative paywall redirect image.
Could do some cool algorithmic art distribution this way where the user’s key generates a unique image. 🤷♂️
