Paid for service (in SATs, of course)
Low enough that any human could easily afford, but would be prohibitive to bots
Zaps don't exist
Instead, a significant portion of the subscription revenue goes into a pot
Each day, week, month, (user defined) a payout happens based on the likes a post gets
Subscription -> pot -> payout
The nostr bots are getting bad.
Is there some way to stop them?
I've spoken with multiple people all over the age of 40 (some over 60) and asked them a series of questions that led to: "Why isn't Bitcoin part of your investments?"
The answers vary, but can be summed thus: 'What I have is working, why change it?'

I've been giving the whole idea of voting with your wallet/feet a lot of thought.
I've come to the conclusion that I can't live in two worlds at once. If I want to channel the American spirit I don't get to stay in Britain (the current realm) AND be free.
What this means to me, in the digital realm, is I have to make some choices.
What happened today with Damus and Swan is what locked this thought in for me.
I want nostr to work, but I never use it.
I'm over here "ya! freedom! Down with centralization!" and checking Twitter every time I take a piss or have 30 spare seconds.
I think the answer, for now, is to use both. The digital realm offers us that opportunity.

Bitcoin is the first time we've had money in its most true form.
When I was much younger I used to think University was a respectable thing. Even something that you needed.
In the past few years I've thought the only thing worth going to school for anymore is a law degree or to become a medical doctor.
Now I don't think even that's true.
The line between, "Children can absolutely consent to having their bodies modified," to, "Children can consent--about anything," is practically non-existent.
