Saifedean converted me to Bitcoin before I read his book when I heard a debate he had about Bitcoin. Reading the book later was more just for enjoyment.

For me I used 2 tricks when starting out

1. Look at people's foreheads when speaking. They'll think you're looking them in the eye but it's not as intimidating as eye contact.

2. Do you speech in a mirror. It feels weird which is good. It helped me get over the jitters.

After a while you won't worry about public speaking once you get the skill down don't sweat it
