We’re used to thinking of #BTC as money and as its value increases it’s attracting the attention of politicians and bankers who want to control it.
But what if we declare #BTC a messaging protocol? In that context if someone were willing, for example, to exchange dollars for an email, a text message or DM would politicians and bankers try to legislate for the control of messages?
Bitcoin is code, it is the exchange of information. The fact it is viewed as having value is a function of the free market.
Can politicians and bankers control the perception of value?

You don’t need anyone’s permission to use bitcoin. 
#Bitcoin is easy to dismiss because it’s digital & digital things get hacked all the time, don’t they?
But if you take the time to understand how bitcoin functions you begin to see it as a form of architecture bringing together digital elements anchored in the physical world.

Personally I think holding your own ‘actual’ bitcoin is preferable to ‘paper’ bitcoin.
Are you heading up to #Mendocino for the holiday weekend? If so, please ask every hotel, restaurant, grocery store, T-shirt shop, bar, dispensary etc. if they accept #bitcoin. They’ll mostly say they don’t but collectively we’ll have planted the seed of a financial idea. 
California’s always been the center of innovation. Let’s keep that tradition going by adding California to this map. 
This year instead of spending dollars on greeting cards, presents, fine food and wine, getting together with friends, singing carols and throwing extravagant parties…

All those street fairs, vendors and bake sales today could have been transacting in #bitcoin . But first merchants need to know bitcoin exists and understand what it is.
