I had to remove old valves and replace them with brass supply valves.
After disconnecting the lav supplies to the sink faucet above this is what my situation looked like:

This was the first time I had to sweat anything off of soldered copper pipe. I've watched Master nostr:nprofile1qqs9ccktnl7c4fcfrvyemxqfgs5a9gj8q8hm0h4ed3wt36xl0dpf7ygpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd3skueqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejscg0f2u do it more times than I can count so I just tried to mimic what I've seen him so in the past.
It took a little more time than I'd have liked, but I got the old valves removed:

Then using emory paper I cleaned up the copper pipe the best I could to prepare them for the new supply valves.
Last thing to do was solder on the supply valves. I made sure to do it in the reverse order of how I removed them in order to give myself the most amount of space for each.
And, here they are:

Best part is that I was successful in not leaving any burn marks on any walls or the inner vanity as well as no leaks!

The Bitcoin Plumber to save the day! ๐จโ๐ง
An older couple called about a leak so bad they had to turn off all their water in order to prevent the continuous leak. ๐ฆ
We need our day a little later than usual so that we could get to these folks and make sure they had running water in their home again. ๐
The pipe that burst was probably due to a combination of erosion and freezing. ๐ง

Master nostr:nprofile1qqs9ccktnl7c4fcfrvyemxqfgs5a9gj8q8hm0h4ed3wt36xl0dpf7ygpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd3skueqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejscg0f2u cut out the old pipe and had me cut new pipe to replace it.

Then, like a superhero contortionist he soldered the new pipe in where the old pipe was. I forgot to mention the location of this pipe was behind an old water heater placed in a corner. Talk about impressive!

And, now we can sleep tonight knowing those folks have running water!

Time to remove a saddle valve that was originally an old ice maker line.

Make sure to turn off the water and have a bucket to catch what's left of the water in the line.

Now, it's time to cut the pipe right along the hole that was punctured into the water line from the saddle valve and clean the copper pipe with emory paper.

Then use flux paste to prepare the pipe and coupling that will be used to connected the now cut pipe.

All that's left to do is solder the pipe and coupling together! Time to turn the water on to check for leaks...

No leaks! Not bad for an apprentice. ๐

We returned to a client who's been having issues with smells in their home for quite a few years. We came back because smells persisted even after Master nostr:nprofile1qqs9ccktnl7c4fcfrvyemxqfgs5a9gj8q8hm0h4ed3wt36xl0dpf7ygpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd3skueqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejscg0f2u replaced the vent pipe in the attic/crawl space.
The wall was cut open to find a hole the size of a quarter in the back of the pipe. Source of Smell Found!

Time to get to work and replace the section of the pipe we removed.
