A dude named Ludd. Follow along as I build and rebuild the Carbon Kitchen, my ongoing culinary experiment and experience in my backyard. Maybe some gardening. And the occasional rant. And a bit of RUSH when the mood strikes me. Okay, probably a lot of RUSH.

This was our first time growing it. We'll be growing a lot more next year, this was only half of a 3'x10' bed. Learned a lot this year that will help us next year . We've used a bunch already, awesome just having it around. Eventually want enough to dehydrate and make garlic powder out of.

nostr:npub1yrt8s5rewe75t044dl7fucsvcgxpcuunvuw6fy9a0g3lqx3zpzrqs36gwm Nice. We dedicate one or two raised beds to garlic every year. This time it was our newly built 4' X 12' bed. Plus a few that wouldn't fit in that one in one of the other 6 beds. We'll amend the soil in the beds, and then rotate the garlic for next year. Beats that Chinese hot pond, melamine soaked bullshit.

A simple peasant's meal this evening. Spaghetti, oil, garlic, basil and tomatoes from.the garden. Amd a bit of S & P. Dee-lish.

I worked there in high school and managed the place for many years after high school . We would get tshirts from brewery reps . I still remember my "the moose is loose"( moosehead )and my grab a heiney (Heineken) shirts that I wore back in those high school days. The Heineken shirt was later not allowed and if I wore it I had to turn it inside out.

What a tremendous past few days, here at the 100 aker wood. Most of the big stuff is done, as far as reno's go, and we're pretty much down to painting. Once the painting is done, I'll be riding that floor sander for a day or two. Shot, I may very well have all these jobs done before 15 August, which gives the hard wax oil on the floors plenty of time to dry before new tenants move in 1 September. Look at me, only six weeks behind schedule.

There's a big distributor down the road. If they have it, I'll try it. (Tho' I must say - a brew compared to milk makes me dubious...)

nostr:npub189et0kpv4xhunwcr86w2e0dzsjzz4smkf6yqrswagaw6su6ce6esm9yahj Okay, perhaps it's not mother's milk; I mean, how am I to know? I was bottle fed.

After your Moosehead posts, a "connoisseur of fermented adult beverages?"

nostr:npub189et0kpv4xhunwcr86w2e0dzsjzz4smkf6yqrswagaw6su6ce6esm9yahj Moosehead is mother's milk. An award winning milk. Have you tried it before? I do know its availability is limited down there, but it's a mostly east coast affair...
