A dude named Ludd. Follow along as I build and rebuild the Carbon Kitchen, my ongoing culinary experiment and experience in my backyard. Maybe some gardening. And the occasional rant. And a bit of RUSH when the mood strikes me. Okay, probably a lot of RUSH.

The house originally had two bedrooms, one not much bigger than the other. A third was added at the front, again where a porch would have originally been. You can see the outline on the floors where a sheet of linoleum used to be. Apparently this was a thing back in the day. The dipshits who last stained the floors just worked around them, and then some other dipsbits ripped the lino out and out rugs over the offending floors, which were under the beds. We never knew about that before we bought.

This bump out is where the chimney is, and where the wood cook stove would have been, back in the day. The 'kitchen' and bathroom to the right. The tiny little kitchen in the house, at the back, was an add-on in the late 70's, allegedly. It's an odd size, with a narrow 20" counter on the side facing the rest of the house, as the room was sized to match the back room of the house which currently houses another washroom and the laundry. Where the kitchen now stands used to be a deck.

Interesting story: the ad for the rental space in our home brought about a request from a woman whose grandparents owned this place during the late 40's to early 60's, and she was hoping for a quick walk around for memory's sake. We said sure, and she talked about all the changes the house has seen since her childhood days. This bathroom was once divided in two, with the left side being the only counter space in the house, as well as where the kitchen sink was.

nostr:npub1vdgxxrjlgetylyzst2jm04qz8c24kxuud73areuys6r7vdrsphnsntfj9c My wife has had it twice. Breast cancer and then i her colon that spread to her bladder. The second one she barely survived. Despite my pleas, she accepted the vaccine I to her life. Twice. Now, every day I pray for her health. My aunty, she was a smoker, but never sick, and after the jab injury she was told, a few months later, that her body was riddled with it. In some people, the jab must destroy their immune systems, and whatever they're fighting off will kill them.

Is the purge over?

What's with the half-filled stands at the Nashville IndyCar race?

Thr last of the raspberries for this season, a few peas, and a sex toy I mean zucchini for today's haul.
