Disregarding the bots and even ai, the algorithms are very effective at manipulation. I had a lot of siblings growing up and the older ones would pin down the younger ones and grab their arms beating the shit of them well laughing and asking “why do you keep hitting yourself”. 🤷🏻♂️ this is the image that keeps going through my head when thinking about the current internet. 😆 not sure that makes sense.
