It’s a wonderful reflection on Fr. James’s (of blessed memory) and others journey into Orthodoxy. There is the audible version read by Fr. James himself that might be easier to tackle. He is a sweet sweet soul. May Christ our True God grant him paradise!
There are so many daily distractions which distort our thoughts, words, and actions, … “For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.” (Romans 7:15-20). Dear Ones, one thing is necessary, one thing is profitable above all! To humble ourselves (moment by moment) and allow God to embrace us with His infinite love.
Let us, as our Holy Father, Metropolitan Neophytos encourages us to do, cry out to God with our whole being… “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me the sinner”; “Most Holy Theotokos, save us!”

I haven’t yet, but I’ll check him out. I’m not much of an academic, though I’ve done my share of schooling. I love reading the lives of the Saints. They set such wonderful and unique examples of what it means to follow after Christ. I find great encouragement in them +
