It depends on where you see risk. I view manufacturer failure, hardware failure, lost wallet, as much higher risks than private key breach.
I use one Trezor T and one Ledger Nano each with the same btc account. Two wallets, different companies reduces risk.
Excellent choice. Great company. We use the too for our sideways node.
W. Dai, "b-money," 1998: This reference pertains to Wei Dai's b-money, an early proposal for an anonymous, distributed electronic cash system. While it was never implemented, it is widely recognized as a precursor to Bitcoin.
H. Massias, X.S. Avila, and J.-J. Quisquater, "Design of a secure timestamping service with minimal trust requirements," 1999: This reference discusses a design for a secure timestamping service that requires minimal trust, thus improving security and reliability in systems where the integrity and chronological order of data is essential.
S. Haber, W.S. Stornetta, "How to time-stamp a digital document," 1991: This paper describes a method for timestamping digital documents to ensure data integrity and provide a secure and reliable method of verifying when a document was created or last modified.
D. Bayer, S. Haber, W.S. Stornetta, "Improving the efficiency and reliability of digital time-stamping," 1993: This paper builds upon the previously mentioned method, focusing on enhancing the efficiency and reliability of digital time-stamping.
S. Haber, W.S. Stornetta, "Secure names for bit-strings," 1997: This paper presents a method for securing names for bit-strings, contributing to enhancing security in computer and communications.
A. Back, "Hashcash - a denial of service counter-measure," 2002: This reference covers Hashcash, a proof-of-work system designed by Adam Back as a counter-measure against email spam and denial-of-service attacks. It became an important part of the mechanism used in Bitcoin mining.
R.C. Merkle, "Protocols for public key cryptosystems," 1980: This reference presents protocols for public key cryptosystems, a fundamental component in modern cryptographic systems, and includes discussions on Merkle trees.
W. Feller, "An introduction to probability theory and its applications," 1957: This classic text provides a comprehensive introduction to probability theory and its applications, which is an important theoretical basis for a variety of areas in computer science, including cryptography, machine learning, and algorithm design.

Just deployed a massive change to Snort which i've been working on for about 5 weeks now.
It's called "gossip model", this makes Snort more resistant to censorship by connecting to the relays that your follows use.
This means that Snort will also distribute load across multiple relays instead of always querying your own relay list.
This is better for relays and better for nostr as a whole because it allows small communities to co-exist without the need for shared relay sets or without you needing to add those community specific relays to your relay list!
I also have created an NPM package which will allow anybody to build Nostr apps with Snort's internal nostr code, including the "gossip" model, check it out here https://www.npmjs.com/package/@snort/system
Please be aware that there are NO DOCS, keep an eye out and I should be able to create some example code in the coming weeks!
Snort not currently working for me. Times out on initial post load.
Attention: @FTC @DOJ. Add another antitrust claim against @apple as they ban @damusapp for using zaps.
I am switching to @Strike as my $USD/#Bitcoin ramp from @coinbase, @binance, and @kraken due to recent SEC activity and new @Strike features. Join me, and we each get $5.00. https://invite.strike.me/MDXOPC

We need more tools to 'customize' relays. One I want is to only allow writes of notes with specific tags. Anybody?

Bitcoin 2023 Day 2 Highlights
Kennedy announced support (detailed and well-researched) for Bitcoin. Surprisingly, he is not a great speaker.
Lightning was a key focus everywhere; in sessions, exhibits, and the food court. Very few mentions of Nostr in general sessions.
The one big Nostr session was standing-room only. Cool mini-apps from PABLOF7z. His NDK should be huge. Dave on Damus from Will Casarin sounded interesting, hinting at big opportunities for personal AI bots in Nostr.
Saylor also focused on lighting as a big focus for corporate reward programs.
Jack Mallers announced the launch of Strike to 6 billion people in 65 countries. And support for Nostr!
#devstr https://devstr.org
I will try to find him.
Looking forward to tomorrow's sessions and to tomorrow as a topic.
Maybe some more thoughts and possibly coherent observations tonight after a few drinks.
