Reading the protocol overview (https://docs.farcaster.xyz/protocol/overview.html), it looks like identity for the network is built on Ethereum, and it requires data duplication across all servers. It is also quite perscriptive about requiring users to rent storage space on servers
Nostr seems to be a good deal more optimistic than many other internet spaces. Why is that?

I watched the Republican primary debate, and Vivek Ramaswamy appeared to be the only one to articulate a clear, specific, positive vision. Unlike the other candidates, he didn't shy away from issues like Ukraine or climate change. I respect that boldness, even where I might not fill agree with him.
The next strongest showing, in my opinion, was by DeSantis, who seemed to be saying "if you like me as governor of Florida, you'll like me as President."
