The way my Texan wife taught me was to make a savory cornbread (not sweet Yankee stuff), then crumble it up into the chili.

Bonus points if you cook the cornbread in cast iron.

Cornbread mixed into the chili?

What kinds of features would you want in a write-only client? Rich markdown editing? Relay selection? None of the above?

I'm playing with ideas for a browser extension that acts as a write-only client.

Many people hear "It takes a village" and think that means socialism. But socialism is the state, not the village.

In trying to become sovereign individuals, we quickly run up against our own limitations, and then when a powerful, anonymous force such as government steps in promising to restore the supports we cast away, we gladly throw ourselves into its arms and become dependent on a faceless, impersonal bureaucracy.

When we sever ties to the friendships, communities, churches, and other organic social support structures, our need for external support doesn't magically go away.

I close them all at the end of the day, for sure.

Occasionally during the day.

Apps I use often I'm more likely to leave open.

Before Nostr, I had very little interest in social media, and I owned 0 Bitcoin.

I came because I think Nostr is a great idea, I want it to succeed, and I want to put my skills into helping it succeed in what ways I can.

To that end, I'm working on a client project that I hope will help make it easier for new people to get in on Nostr. Additionally, I'll put any sats I receive into paid relays, tipping the devs, and participating in the online value-for-value ecosystem growing up here.

Enjoying the adventure so far!

You're right, we Catholics view all fields of knowledge as working together in pursuit of truth.

The way I, and I think many others, commonly make the distinction is that science qua science usually refers to studies of nature the material world. Theology is the study of God specifically, and together with philosophy deals with spiritual realities more broadly. So there's typically a spiritual/material split between theology and the natural sciences.

I actually think we'd do well to quit pushing theology and natural science into opposite corners as if they're opponents in a boxing ring. We should let them work together more.

Thanks! I'll look into that one as well.

Can someone explain to me how to set up with a paid relay?
