Wouldn’t paid pinning services for IPFS relays work like paid relays for Nostr? Instead of uploading to Nostr.build, couldn’t we be creating an IPFS file that could be mirrored multiple places, all for a small fee for a specified amount of time?

Or if not IPFS (I understand @fiatjaf​ is not a fan), then WebTorrent?

I really want this to exist so I can begin uploading my video work in a persistent way to Nostr-only

An interesting take on the current dedollarization happening: We did it to ourselves. But, not in the way you'd think. It wasn't directly because of printing of money. It was because of Russian sanctions a year ago. We showed the world that we'll stop your ability to use the US dollar and we'll attempt to seize those dollar assets if you try to save them. Russia has commodities they need to sell. They can't sell them for dollars. They can't save in dollars, because they can't use them. So, Russia will seek non-USD trading currencies with their trading partners. Other nations will follow suit just in case "it happens to them".

I saw 7% on gold and was like holy shit - not only would that not make sense, but -7% for an asset like gold (over 10T market cap and 1000s of years of price discovery) would have been insane

The only -7% moves gold will be experiencing are against Bitcoin (superior money) not against the dollar. Even as shitty as gold has become as a poor unit of account, medium of exchange, and even store of value due to paper gold, it’s still going to infinity against pieces of paper
