Honestly feeling low tonight.
And #V4V music is helping.
Hatred doesn’t take a holiday. Praying for the hurting and for our law enforcement officers in New Orleans.
Love seeing that my support for fellow podcasters is available for the world to see this system works. Great job nostr:npub1unmftuzmkpdjxyj4en8r63cm34uuvjn9hnxqz3nz6fls7l5jzzfqtvd0j2
Thank you to everyone who supported my music and podcasts!

Interesting New Yorker article on Spotify.
The time has never been more ripe for Music Makers to realize the old way of getting value for your work has been completely captured.
Go direct, ask for Value4Value for your art.
You have nothing to lose at this point.

This is the line that sums up what Spotify is doing to art….
“…one of my frustrations has always been the meagre amount of information displayed on each artist’s page, and Pelly’s criticisms made me think this might be by design—a way of rendering the labor of music-making invisible. Except for a brief biographical sketch, sounds float largely free of context or lineage.… I’ve never heard so much music online as I have over the past few years yet felt so disconnected from its sources.”
there perhaps nothing more satisfying than organizing your bar.
Merry Christmas from
The Pauls.
It’s not about being on the charts, it’s recognizing that people are supporting the music and the artists that I love and appreciate. Thank you, RSS Blue.

Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Guess I should mention I also have a podcast on legacy podcast platforms (also V4V compliant) for Christian performing artists and entrepreneuers who are building mainstream creative businesses.
It’s called God and Gigs and I’ve been helping this community since 2016. You’re invited to listen if you’re looking for this kind of support , or please share if you know someone who needs it!
Thank you! I was honestly blown away, I didn’t realize how many holiday tracks there were.
Yes, Virginia, there will be a new Keep the Music Playing episode after a 4 month hiatus.
#christmas
Got it. I just don’t want it to point to Spotify, so I’ll change that.
The one phrase I keep repeating to myself when feeling stressed…
“How would this feel if it was easy?”
Then I pursue that course.
Spotify hired production companies to publish music by "fake" artists to add to popular playlists to reduce their royalties payouts.
The victims of this scheme are real artists who are not getting playlisted and not getting paid.
Do better, Spotify.

The least surprising news update of 2024.
you are correct, and yes, I found that setting and toggled it. It was a little bit of a jarring thing to see the enemy represented on my post. Lol.
Noticed there’s a spotify track attached on all of my posts?!
Any help or explanation? That’s the last thing I want to see. 🙃
