I live fairly close to a butterfly preserve and it looks like it’s going to be a good year for Monarchs. There are cocoons all over my yard. Some caterpillars thought my muddy bicycle would be a great spot for their metamorphosis. It’s been chilly, grey and overcast, so I put together this loaf of whole wheat #sourdough. Baking sourdough feels a bit like gambling. On the one hand, this is insanely cool. On the other, does this make it too easy for yahoos with guns to be able to find wolves. Ranchers prefer shooting wolves over more effective, less drastic means of protecting livestock.
