So happy with how this whole wheat sourdough loaf with oatmeal and chia seeds turned out! I was worried it wouldn't rise with so much oatmeal in the recipe, but it's perfectly fluffy and delicious. In my next life, I’m going to write down all the rose varieties, though the pink one is almost surely a clone. I did a bit of hiking around the San Marcos Preserve in Santa Barbara. The wildflowers were present, but sparse. They’re restoring the native flora and planting in cages that have a cloth basket tied to the top. Crazy Sourdough: This is mainly whole wheat, but it also contains rye, flax seed meal, steal cut oats, chia seeds, nutritional yeast, pea protein and psyllium husk powder. I expected something flat, like a focaccia, but was pleasantly surprised.
