Gluten-free FAIL! 😂 Made this cute loaf with buckwheat, wild rice, quinoa, and sorghum flour. Thought I was being clever, but then my starter (with rye!) reminded me that I'm not. Guess who forgot rye has gluten? 🙈 https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/71876a38a4a1bfe4d9d3bc61ab0c1f80b81b0e4f5553fdf0f3f77d9c86200d84/3b0f56acb6dd346d5ce186536df40c77db7b8173477e53eca050b751ab62e956.webp

President Trump — yet again — will attempt to rein in the nation’s 53-year-old law protecting waterways. At stake are seasonal streams, pools and ponds.

Some of California’s most economically and culturally important species are at the highest risk because of climate change.

This loaf is white whole wheat with a little rye for flavor. It always takes #sourdough forever to rise, but this one took over 24 hours. The house smells amazing right now. https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/71876a38a4a1bfe4d9d3bc61ab0c1f80b81b0e4f5553fdf0f3f77d9c86200d84/1b771f0606e977f23727221a6612adfe4a8cd07c1ca1039cbc5616609b17d11a.webp

It looks like (knock-on-wood) we’re going to get a bumper cherry crop this year. Maybe it’s the best year ever for cherries, but it’s odd how early the tree bloomed this year. End of April would be when I’d normally expect them. Climate change? https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/71876a38a4a1bfe4d9d3bc61ab0c1f80b81b0e4f5553fdf0f3f77d9c86200d84/02cb35734eafaa28545549387f7adbf10f7ad7f49976625b284485ab79dec482.webp

Unfortunately we’re fogged in and will miss the “seven-planet parade.” I hate to miss it! 👇

Ugh, yesterday's Amtrak ride home from LA turned into a six-hour saga 😩. Normally, it's a chill escape – 3 hours, affordable, and way better than LA traffic. But yesterday? Another train hit a car, and we were stuck on the tracks for three hours.

This is the traditional #sourdough bread of my people. 😆

No, actually it’s not. It looks like it might be a bread from some remote and exotic local, but really it’s just a fail. I swear it looked great going into the oven. Unplanned focaccia. 😝 https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/71876a38a4a1bfe4d9d3bc61ab0c1f80b81b0e4f5553fdf0f3f77d9c86200d84/b4ad9b07786aa527cb3f622e0a9f2df961040edb00308084360a1adb1baee217.webp

I was standing in my driveway, working on my car. This woman and her itty bitty off-leash dog walked past my house. The pint-sized dog furiously ran up my drive and nipped at my pant leg.

I said, “No!” and it ran off.

The lady fetched her dog, then proceeded to scold me. That’s entitlement.

Agree. And microplastics have been found in the deepest seas and highest mountains. The impact of them is bound to be devastating. Yet, it seems most of society is barely aware of them.

Inspired idea. I always think the threat of microplastics are going to be one of those things future generations are going to be astounded we somehow ignored or missed.
