Proof of Work is superior to Proof of Stake even in real-life.
Most people believe that PoW vs. PoS relates only to cryptocurrencies but that’s not true. Given space and stable enough enviroment, most people are naturally trending towards PoW standard in all aspects of life.
Unfortunately we don’t have that stable conditions right now in peak #FIAT culture, when everything is falling apart - people are desperately trying to escape fiat ponzi and thus they are more susceptible to promise of PoS - just hold this and that and everyting will be ok.
This is not, however, a natural state of things and on the base line most people still value hard work and commitment put into things.
Fine example is modern art or architecture. When you substract a very small portion of academic jerk-offs, most people will admit that they like 18th or 19th century art and buildings more than the modern-ones.
It also happens that my Mother-in-law value hard work over stakeholding and that’s why she decided to gift our lovely and preciouss cottage to my family rather than to her son. He is just a stakeholder, doing nothing that provides value or benefit others while me and my wife are tirelessly working year after year to improve the conditions here.
I didn’t write this last paragraph brag about it… but to encourage all of you to not be affraid to put your time and hard work into something. Reward will always be sweet. Sometimes it’s just a good feeling and some endorphins from a job well done, but sometimes you’ll get back way more than you put in because other people will reward it.
