For a few weeks now I’ve been trying a different approach to zapping—quality over quantity, sending higher amounts per #zap while being more selective about which content I #zap. I’ve also had likes turned off since Damus added the option to do so. I have come to like this approach and will continue with it. I have completely lost the desire to click “like” whereas before it was a knee jerk reaction to nearly everything I read. Instead, now if a note is interesting, I engage with a comment or repost. If content moves or impresses me, I send a zap that I think I would appreciate if I had posted it. Anything else, I just read and keep scrolling. This feels more natural to me. 💜🤙

For some reason this made me smile.

Nice, I have definitely found my self “liking” less on other platforms and wishing I had a way to zap creators for great original content. This is the new way and when others realize how valuable it is, it’s gonna take off like a wildfire.

💯 We’ve just scratched the surface

Cool. Is there a delete post option? I look back over the absolute piffle I have typed, and I long for a delete post option.

Some apps have a “request delete” feature but it depends on which relays the note is on and if those relays support deletion. Can’t hurt to try but not always reliable.

Mesma coisa aqui! ⚡️

As much as I understand your approach un rewarding best possible quality…

Like and small zaps can be a huge thing for small #nostrich #plebs - we need momentum to keep #nostr rollin’. An engagement - wheter it be a simple like or small zap are a simple way to show that your content at least resonates.

That’s why I stick with smaller zaps and likes for a while.
