One of my best friends is still a bit sceptic about #Bitcoin usecase.

Too much statis propaganda in his head and a so far good enough life in central Europe.

But eventually I made him to buy 0,25 #BTC and put it in the cold storage for 15 years for his kid. His words: "I will either be eternally grateful you made me do it or I'll laugh in your face."

Boy we need more people like this. I am affraid most people will not make it simply because they will not pay attention soon enough.

Another weekend, another Proof of Work.

Estimated 150kg of iron and steel, 30kg of glass, and around 50 kilos of other stuff. All waited for decades in the basement… to be thrown out.

It is a common thing in post-communist countries to hoard all possible stuff that could come in handy. Misalocation of #capital is so common in #socialism that even the basic stuff like iron nails, wooden planks or plastic bags and toilet paper were unavailable most of the time.

Handy people used to hoard stuff to be able to improvise and build stuff themselves. Today most of it was just junk - broken, rusted or just not compatible with this century.
