You just like your own comment? It's not ruining free speech. Communities are designed for curation. All post still exist they only get stickied by moderators. Or in this case my moderator bot.
Looks like relay.damus.io is blocking all community events. I see a error message saying "please use a dedicated relay for moderated communities"
It's for the community section. It's not relay level moderation. Not sure what ui you are using but this post is supposed to go into communities. Which you can view in Satellite.earth, Amethyst or others.
Guys I'm not gonna approve any post with the word kill in it. Any community that I actively run approval bots against is not gonna do that. It's still using my Pkey so would look like I reposted it. Bot is open source and anyone can make a community so it's no loss if your post doesn't get approved. It still goes to your timeline. I don't want to have any legal liability for anything retarded whatsoever.
Please consider sending some fiat to these Amish farmers who had their farm illegally seized by the government. The law is in their side but they have a long court battle to go through and the Amish usually don't go to court.
Amethyst is the only UI I really enjoy. Switching between chat, feed, and community feels pretty natural. Would like to see a all subscribed community view. Probably sorted by a combination latest and activity of my followers. Global is a mess.
Found a way to make the community bot a lot more efficient on large relays. So I'll probably deploy a bunch of them for a bunch of communities.
Man harasses woman for not masking in target. Crowd of women gather to protect her. #covid #mask #vaccine
Rarely do developers use true black. Like 8 years ago when I started development my colleague who was a senior UI guy even told us never use true black. Always a couple shades lighter.
Looks neat. Based on Scuttlebutt. The guy who made Scuttlebutt is actually here on nostr. They work similarly. Problem with scuttlebutt is that you have to download everything a user ever posted to start reading their stuff. So it's probably only good if you have a few hundred friends or so. It works like torrents. And because ip address's change it has a concept similar to relays or torrent trackers to update everyone's address.
I Think a peer to peer public profile like facebook would make sense. Instead of needing a website you just download someone's profile like you do a torrent. But you would really need a always on pc and fewer and fewer people have those.
A true peer to peer social network is kinda a computer science wet dream. If one could ever work it would be great. But they generally don't.
One thing I hope AI will improve in the future is everyone posting screenshots of text. Imagine the amount of wasted space, hard drives, electricity maintenance because it's easier to screenshot and upload a photo than to retype and wrap text with quotes. #ai
