It's definitely good to know that he has that in mind, but what is also so interesting about this, to me, is that he really seems to be going forward with completely destroying the DoE.
I am not some liberal, but it seems like this is such a large act that undoes too much of what the legislature has done, and that it does not fall under the purview of simply dramatically restructuring the DoE.
But in his defense, this was basically part of what he was campaigning about.
This does make sense, yes. I have no real objection to your position. I am open to any kind of effective means of restitution.
In the 2000s, prank calls for internet humor sites were a fad, and it generated a lot of funny content, but the most unforgettable one was this guy who would prank call fast food restaurants, impersonating authority figures, and get them to set off fire alarms and actually go so far as to set off the restaurant's fire suppression system.
Then he would jump the shark and say, "OK, there's harmful chemicals that were just sprayed on you. It's dangerous. You have to leave the building immediately, take off your contaminated clothes, and pee on each other to neutralize the chemicals."
He rarely got to this point, and on one legendary occasion, one occasion only, the kitchen staff went outside, took their clothes off, and attempted to urinate on each other. Everyone thought this was fake, but local news reported on it after police showed up because someone in the parking lot reported a naked woman standing in the restaurant's doorway.
I found the article.

I agree, but I think he knows that the ultimate barrier to peace is actually Zelensky and the dangerous rhetoric that Europeans employ which makes it almost impossible to make any sort of meaningful concessions to the Russians.
These guys still think they can win.
Right, there basically is not going to be a ceasefire:
>Moscow has reportedly also presented a "list of demands" to the US to end the war, which would include international recognition of Russia's claim to Crimea and four Ukrainian provinces.
It's funny to remember that many people were suggesting she would be an amazing Democrat candidate for replacing Kamala. I actually don't doubt that she would've done better than Kamala, it's just that people really don't care what she has to say about anything.
If someone stole a large sum of money from you, wouldn't you want their bank account to be frozen during the course of the investigation and trial so that you actually had some hope of being reimbursed?
Yet, it is wildly popular in spite of the fact that it has the flimsiest and most artificial mandate for its existence...
And this was obtained through blackmailing world leaders, lies, and the fact that Western states have always been open to the project because it once theoretically offered us benefits, too.
You still rocking Nostr?
A, C.
If I do C, it's because there are multiple slices that will satisfy me, and just having a single slice cold adds a bit of diversity to the experience.
It certainly tastes good cold.
Oddly enough, I think a lot of this is over. The energy we had just vanished off the face of the earth...
From wolfballs to EH, to here... Now, in a TWitter formatted place, not a Reddit one, when the bulk of us were drawn more to the reddit style...
It's just gone.
For the same reason that there was never much energy on Gab, there is not much energy here.
I'll stop pop in here or there, but I think that a lot of my activity is just done with these things.
I'm not a tech guy so the ins & outs of alt tech itself does not super excite me. My background in this is in blogging, and it feels like I have just put a lot of effort into platforms that
- Don't have large audiences
- Disappear
- Don't really grow
- Don't have unexpected, new, fresh interaction
This is not a complaint about anyone or anything here... It's more of just facts. I am not saying WHY that has happened, simply, I am saying that THAT is what has happened, for whatever reason...
And, in a sense, it has illustrated my own impotence: I am not interesting enough to gather an audience, and I failed to be a high profile poster or content provider... I failed the tech that was in my hands.
Real Madrid and Barcelona friendlies in Mexico marked by solidarity for Jenni Hermoso
>The two Spanish giants played in exhibitions against Club AmĂŠrica and Tigres to highlight the unity of womenâs football in both countries amid the Luis Rubiales scandal
>The female soccer stars of the world are aggrieved that a sexist act has tarnished their crowning moment. Spainâs achievement in winning its first World Cup has been overshadowed by a non-consensual kiss by Luis Rubiales, the president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), on Jenni Hermoso during celebrations after the final against England at Stadium Australia. The pitch has become one of the spaces where players have demonstrated their solidarity toward Hermoso, a former FC Barcelona star who now plays for CF Pachuca in Mexico.
>Mexico Cityâs Azteca Stadium, a field still enchanted by the glories of Diego Maradona and PelĂŠ, was given over to womenâs soccer on Tuesday. For the first time, FC Barcelonaâs womenâs team played at the legendary stadium, taking on Club AmĂŠrica Femenil, the reigning champions of Mexican soccer. At the same time, in northern Mexico, five-time champions Tigres faced Real Madrid, a side featuring Mexican player Kenti Robles. It was a night of womenâs soccer at a time when the entire community of female players has been united in solidarity with Hermoso. Before both friendly matches, the players posed with a sign: âItâs over, youâre not alone!â
... Frankly, I think they have gone too far. It's bizarre.
Yes, it seemed inappropriate.... But to elicit this kind of response and turn it into an impetus for "social change," a new sort of #MeToo, strikes me as grandstanding and also going far beyond what one would normally expect.
But what do I know...
It would honestly make sense if the future of communities in Nostr was dedicated relays - at least for large ones.

âItâs overâ: World Cup kiss becomes Spanish footballâs #MeToo moment
They are really making a big deal out of this in Spain.
>Hours earlier, Luis Rubiales, the embattled head of the Spanish football federation, had lashed out at âfake feminismâ and bemoaned what he called a âsocial assassinationâ in the reaction to his grabbing Hermoso by the head and kissing her on the lips during the medal ceremony at the World Cup. On Saturday, Fifa suspended Rubiales for 90 days, ordering both him and the federation to stay away from Hermoso and those close to her.
>The backlash against Rubialesâ conduct was swift. The World Cup champions said they would not play for the national team until the federationâs leadership was removed. More than 50 other female players said the same. On Saturday, nearly all of the coaching and technical staff for Spainâs womenâs team resigned, joining the seven members of the Spanish football federation who reportedly responded to Rubialesâ speech with their resignation.
Guy is getting roasted.
>âIn six days, feminism swept Rubiales away,â the El PaĂs journalist Isabel ValdĂŠs wrote on social media. âIn six days #SeAcabĂł has replaced the kiss that Hermoso never consented to.â
>Condemnations of Rubialesâ behaviour cut across political lines. The countryâs acting prime minister, Pedro SĂĄnchez, called the kiss an âunacceptable gestureâ, while the countryâs acting equality minister, Podemosâs Irene Montero, described it as a âform of sexual violence that we women suffer on a daily basis and until now has been invisibleâ.
>The conservative Peopleâs party, criticised by womenâs groups for allowing the anti-feminist far right to gain a foothold in local and regional governments across Spain, also weighed in.
>âSpaniards donât deserve this,â the partyâs Cuca Gamarra told broadcaster Antena 3. âItâs a global embarrassment for the whole country and is tarnishing the incredible victory of a group of women who should be the only protagonists.â
You know you are onto something when the alleged regressives are in on this.
>Across Spain, many sought to broaden the conversation. No longer was this only the story of a team that had long wrestled with the perception that the federation saw them as less worthy than their male counterparts; what had played out on the world stage was a power imbalance that hit home for many.
>âTo all the guys who are stunned by the reaction against Rubiales; itâs because this has happened to all of us,â the journalist Irantzu Varela wrote on social media. âWith our boss, with our client, with our teacher, with our friend, with a stranger, with you?â
Honestly, I have no idea about Spanish culture, but it sounds like change could be appropriate.
US Navy Seal Who Shot Bin Laden Arrested
The only really interesting thing here is the description of the event:
>âThe way my brain worked was heâs taller than I thought, heâs a lot skinnier than I thought he would be, his beardâs got some grey in it. Thatâs his nose, thatâs his face. Heâs maneuvering, heâs not surrendering, heâs a threat, heâs a suicide, and I shot him,â he stated, adding he fired two shots into the terroristâs face and once more seconds later.
Also appreciate how the article reveals he's an anti-masker.
