um what feels are you feeling? My life is great :) better than yours by the looks of things. I don't need social media to affirm my existence lol.

porn is what burns. boomer would have the same problem here if his nsec got compromised.

I just realized that nostr:npub1d3f4m9dgvkdjxn26pqzsxn6lpfn78sxwllxyt8mp76q0a9zyyjlswhr4xv 's profile on Twitter is not active anymore. Does anyone know, if it was his own choice?

watch less porn and you'll get hacked less, boomer

You sell storage space. Yay free tier, but bias much? For most people, free social media isn’t a choice—it’s a either that or none. This dude romanticizing what's essentially a #paywall as 'liberation' is gross. Until it’s accessible—and I mean same feature set, not "hey I have an npub"—to everyone EQUALLY, this isn’t new and different. It’s just another exclusive club.

In a month of posting content on Nostr via nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7 I've used 33gb of storage space

It's mainly clips of the podcast

Really highlights how much heavy lifting that the likes of IG, X, & YT etc do for you

They make it so easy

But at what cost?

Well it's simple

YOU'RE THE PRODUCT!

The real world costs associated with posting all this information is handled by the social media company, in favour of incentivising more usage, but also in exchange for control

You're on their land

They can kick you off anytime

So instead, here we are on Nostr

I've happily spent just over $400 aud on an annual 100gb storage package with nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7

Can't wait to see the creator ecosystem proliferate over here

Indeed I'd be very interested to see what investments can be made

Onwards

Seriously? Spending $400/year on #storage to avoid being 'the product' isn’t the revolutionary flex you think it is. For most people, free social media isn’t a choice—it’s a either that or none. Nostr’s idealism is admirable, but romanticizing what's essentially a #paywall as 'liberation' reeks of privilege. And this is a protocol that's had a boatload of money dumped into it. #Decentralization won’t succeed by catering to the few who can afford it. Until it’s accessible—and I mean same feature set, not "hey I have npub"—to everyone, this isn’t progress. It’s just another exclusive club. Tell me you're out of touch without telling me you're out of touch.
