What do you think of my T-Shirt? Hopefully I don't end up like red shirts in Star Trek... #bitcoin

This is the way...
#Bitcoin vs #Nostr (Please bear with me π)
I'm very confident that bitcoin will succeed in a long run thanks to its incentive model which motivates miners, node operators as well as users. And so far it works perfectly.
Nostr is quite new - being created in late 2020 and more actively used last 6,7 months or so. I'm thinking about the incentives for relay operators and if it is feasible to achieve wider adoption while maintaining its independence and speed. I'm not sure paid relays are the way - or rather - will it be sufficient motivation if there will be natural tendencies to flock towards super big relays hosted in AWS or Azure because of convenience, speed, utility and price?
On the other hand #bitcoin had many issues back in 2011 as well and people much smarter than me came up with brilliant solutions or even explained to me that what I see as problem actually is a feature.
I'm just thinking out loud. Waiting to get educated. Hoping to get educated! π
Have a purple day everyone! π
I'm feeling my chest tightening when looking at the picture...
Just 2... Haven't felt much of a difference. Not sure if going paid only would be the way?
As is with #bitcoin, internet or electricity. It takes time before the future gets evenly distributed.
Send me your seed, I will keep it safe in Google Cloud.
S&P500 has average interest rate of 10.05% in the last 20 years.
Price of 70 square meters flat in my hometown in 2003 was around $25,000.
If you took that money and put it into S&P500, kept it there for 20 years, compounded the interest and reinvested dividends, you'd get to $170,000.
But the price of the same flat is $184,000 these days.
And let's not stop at prices of real estate which went up more than 7x.
Bakery got up 6x.
220g of quality chocolate for $1.38 turned into 180g of shitty sugary sludge for $4.37.
(Shrinkflation and shitflation at its finest)
I'm sorry but S&P500 just helps us track real inflation and it maybe conserves your purchasing power. It won't make you rich or let you go to retirement in your 40s.
#bitcoin is the way. We're living in unprecedented time where understanding of bitcoin and its magnitude is widely misunderstood. The most asymmetric bet you'll probably witness in your short lifetimes...

And here's a link for one of my fav songs this reminded me of. If you don't know Stephen Lynch, give it a try.

If you think about it, even if you met your gf while on the way from/to conference or in a place & time where you'd otherwise wouldn't be if not for #bitcoin, the same could apply to you and many others.
I'd rather not discuss in public how irresponsibly long I am on #bitcoin.
#bitcoin changed:
- My understanding of money & time
- My diet
- My spending habits
- World view altogether
#bitcoin gave me
- Girlfriend
- New friends
- Focus on something truly important
- Better understanding of history
And so much, much more.
It can go to zero now.
