First time I ever felt like I was missing out running Damus. Damus doesn’t have a big boobs feed. 🥲
🤣😂🤣😂 nostr:note1aavdfaxgg87mu5a9kvqc59pc6vwsml6t54xlfarfskpkrdn5x4nqnpj3cl
It’s one of the highest liability services I could imagine running, right up there with a private messaging service or something like Omegle.
Most places. There are a few places in my country that have gone to shit though.
Relay Note:
I was made (indirectly) aware that my ToS and transparency document doesn’t mention that my relay uses cloudflare.
This will be rectified soon, but I’m posting quickly here for my users:
We use Cloudflare DNS (no proxy or CDN) for our relay at nostr.thesamecat.io
We use Cloudflare with proxy and CDN for picsur.thesamecat.io. This service is legacy and not available for signup any longer.
My blog is hosted through Vercel and uses Cloudflare DNS only.
#relays #cloudflare
It’s amazing that some people think it is.
I also manually moderate my relay. Cloudflare only does DNS for the relay. I don’t have proxying on, so no caching or edge stuff.
I’ve been hesitant to run a bigger hosting service for images because of this. And Nostr.build has done a great job. nostr:npub138s5hey76qrnm2pmv7p8nnffhfddsm8sqzm285dyc0wy4f8a6qkqtzx624 is working on a project that makes it much easier to host and keep an eye on things. Anyone with a VPS or a home server they are willing to expose to the WWW can host their own and their NIP-05 using it.
Don’t you have something to howl at, or something to lick?
Seriously though, this isn’t a negotiable for me. Someone else can go to prison for “defending” the “rights” of closet pedophiles.
For DNS only. No proxying, no CDN, no scanning. I manually monitor my relay, and IP addresses are logged only in RAM.
Full disclosures are here:

I see that cloudflare needs to be mentioned in this and will update it soon.
It’s basically the only thing that will get you banned from my relay as well, but it’s something everyone ought to agree upon and sus as hell if you don’t. Happy to stand with Nostr.build on this one. It’s a common sense policy.

WSL would’ve been Ubuntu 2x.04 LTS depending on when he installed for version.
Supports X11 applications. Should’ve worked.
The workflow, sure, assuming all your devices support signing in with a key the same way (they don’t) but having to use multiple keys negates the convenience. At that point it just becomes a longer password.
I use Alby extension on desktop, Nostore on iOS, and several other apps just accept a nsec. A simple unified signin system may be the goal, but we’re miles from there imo.
And once your key is compromised once, everything you own is compromised.
This idea flies in the face of good security practices - don’t use the same password for everything. Especially without key rotation support. At least with oauth you can change your password and revoke sessions.
I don’t see this as an improvement.
Awesome. Thanks for the detailed explanation and pointers. I’m considering an idea for a TUI client. Was looking at using Charm for the TUI because I follow one of the creators and it looks really good. Didn’t know if there were many good libraries for Nostr stuff. I’d love to code it all myself but only because I have a bad tendency to overextend myself.
When I decided on golang I knew you’d be the one to ask. Golang and mleku are synonymous to me now.
idk, i hear NDK is pretty complete, has the most devs working on it https://github.com/nostr-dev-kit/ndk
nostrudel uses the NPM package nostr-tools which is not quite as complete (afaik it still hasn't got NIP-42)
How does one use this in go?
nostr:npub1fjqqy4a93z5zsjwsfxqhc2764kvykfdyttvldkkkdera8dr78vhsmmleku if one was doing client stuff, what’s the best pkg for go Nostr development right now?
Yall pythonistas have it worse than us C++ guys sounds like.
I will say I found both of these very frustrating coming from AutoCad 2024.
LibreCAD is a fork of FreeCAD that’s a bit more updated.
It’s even worse. The piano guy paid a dude $300 on fiverr to remix this. Someone did this as a throw away job.
Me too. I took four years of classical piano and I think I’ll just go back to playing chopsticks.
Holy fuckin shit.
