Many things but probably most of all the fact that the guy in the middle of it is claiming that he’s solved free speech, which is the most 1984 thing we have going outside of the book itself. Which would be one thing if he was a crazy person ranting on the street but there’s millions of people who believe him - that’s the most excruciating part to watch.

This was addressed in Hubermans podcast with Robert Lustig about 2:13:00 I.

It was always intended to be a tool for Elon to gaslight people while stirring up chaos. Not broke, functioning as designed.

Elon is trying to dunk on the media for not blurting out “assassination attempt omg” without apologizing for all the misinformation that he amplified. It’s gross. nostr:note133dd49equt0e33gwvalklzn6ejklfszfyc2c5hmxy92lnd29xfhsyxcf0y

100%. I’m not a formally trained journalist but I would imagine that rule number one is, “in the middle of a crazy developing situation, only report what you know”.

It might look obvious from 2000 miles away but when you are at the scene of a crowd where gunfire is happening it is very confusing and everybody’s describing different things happening and so you just report what you can confirm. I’m not really sure what the other motivation would be, like they were going to cover this up or something, I’m not really following the logic there.

For those of you who haven’t witnessed a shooting - it’s not like in the movies; The camera does not pan to the shooter, who pulls the trigger, and we all watch in slow motion and the bullet flies toward the target.

It’s more like, you hear sone unexpected sounds and people just start going apeshit

This is what we knew had happened at the time and this is the way that media reports things; it’s literally their job.

Why is everybody so triggered?
