The takeaway seems to be that it’s certainly not a guarantee that Bitcoin will collapse in 40 years; there are many scenarios in which a fee market could develop which provides the necessary security. However this is hardly anything like the reassurance one would need to say, sell Bitcoin as a surefire way to pay off the national debt. Bitcoin might not even be around. Of course it might, but that’s not enough to build a national reserve on.
