Personally, I dont understand why the $-sign isnt universally adopted as the new symbol for sats amongst bitcoiners.
im not gonna lie, Will. I fkn love suits and all this time I've been afraid to say it because of how nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx talks about them π
You either die trying to make zaps on appstore happen or live long enough to see yourself become the suit

Few realize that nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx deleting his twitter account is a symbol that even he himself wont be able to rug you on Odell notes here on nostr.
Hands full, gotta find my phone. Looking in right pocket, left pocket, back pocket.. wth. Where is it? Ah probably left it downstairs.. Alright, lemme go get it, so just putting whatever im holding in my hand on the table so I can go get it. oh...... That calls for a coffee break.
yeah, so annoying π Better than nothing though.
Cool to know that about namecheap, I didnt know.
And yes, agree, I've seen talk about some other form of DNS but havnt had the time to understand it yet.
Paying with bitcoin on Namecheap works through adding credit. So you cant go through the regular flow of purchasing a domain.
One way of doing, which I like is:
- While on a Mullvad VPN connection which is paid with bitcoin, create a free proton mail account.
- Add credit to the proton account using bitcoin.
- With that credit, purchase the proton subscription that includes simplelogin.
- Use simplelogin to create an email alias
- Create a namecheap account with that alias
- add credit to namecheap using bitcoin
- purchase domains with that namecheap credit
Namecheap accepts bitcoin. Is that useful or is this the one you were already using?
just tried ditto pwa because of this note. Its awesome??
oh shit wait right, 70k-ish is ATH right?? We're pretty close. This new style bitcoin has, its like boiling frog syndrome. It creeps up on you, not like the old days.
Just a down to earth "how to mix coins post-samourai-arrest era".
I've seen critique of both JAM and Wasabi before, so Im struggling to get up to date on current best practice here.
We do quite a lot of screentime with our three year old. A lot means probably a disney movie a week plus a little bit (15 minutes) of bluey maybe once or twice during the week, some weeks none.
1. Its never on a tablet, its always on the big screen where we can watch together
2. We dont do it if shes tired, its more like a treat. And you dont get treats every day, right.
3. It has to be quality stuff, no garbage cartoons. We enjoy the classics. Also preferably something we'd enjoy watching with her.
4. We also use it as a means to teach her her mother tongue
I think its the small screens that are the worst, because then the kid is isolated.
I am not too deep on this minerpool discussion but I know there was animosity towards Ocean from some Bitcoiners, whether justified or not.
Airing some of those grievances or differences, a lΓ‘ Roundtable discussions you've done before, would have been beneficial IMO.

Agree.
jabs aside though, im replying to your note from a very decent client. Primal. Its not perfect, but its bringing me tons of value. Its my only social media client on my phone. If I hadnt been ready to deal with the bugs, I can jump to another client. If no other client is yet bug free enough, I'll be back for another round of nostr in 6 months where it likely will be less buggy and more features.
On the other hand, if Primal team had waited until the client was "production ready" then in nostr world the bug free version will be outdated. Who wins in that scenario?
another junior dev from gitcitadel π
its not black and white. Obviously some testing does occur, but the guy is suggesting no code shipments before the codebase is nearly bug free. I just dont believe thats the way to do it on an open protocol. Its not critical. If your shit is too buggy people can just switch clients.
