After being delayed for over a week I finally managed to finish the new release for npub.cash. It is now in staging and if everything goes as planned I will manage to release it tomorrow.

This release took a while to complete, because it changes the way how the server keeps track of the token spending-state. It used to check all pending claims all the time when user accessed the wite, which cause much traffic for mints and also caused issues when users had many proofs pending (Some had over 1000...)

npub.cash will now assume a token as spet as soon as you create the token / qr code. If anything goes wrong, you can resurface the token at any time from your withdrawal-history tab.

Also npub.cash will check how many proofs are pending and will paginate the result if there are too many. This will keep issues from arising, especially regarding token size.

Having the worst two days of back pain in my life, completely thrown out and disabled.

Bad morning to me

It took going to the conference in Nashville, but my daughters are officially dip buyers. Yesterday they both put a decent chunk of their cash savings from work into Bitcoin.

Meeting people, and seeing the things I've been going on about for 10+ years, really helped them understand the importance of Bitcoin.

I'm glad I never pushed them too hard. Bitcoin is complicated and it can take time to click. That's ok! They're young and I'm already stacking for them. 😄

At some point our children will need to understand. That's the reality all of us as parents face.

Don't force it. Give it time. Be the example they need. 🧡

If you think hardware wallets are bad, then you should have seen web wallet support tickets back before hardware wallets existed.

Dumb take.

There are a bunch of other attack surface those wallets don't protect you against and there are lots of trade offs.

Second under Mitigations; COLDCARD has always done RFC6979 signatures. That with repro builds are perfectly adequate. jade requires pin servers to be secure that is a huge trade off. Bitbox requires usb, huge trade off.
