Is it just me or is the video actually without sound?
Clever
Unsurprising, no? Privacy is about leaving a person alone. That's never an aspect of any political system AFAIK. So any solution towards privacy kinda has to be non-political.
Hat off to all 1+ PH/s miners dancing at the #blockparty

Handwritten on a tablet? Or some notes app?
Not an expert here, but that's a lot of heat exchangers within?
LOL I can relate. The body must be at peace and thanking you.
There's a small model configuration issue that's tripping up llama.cpp, so I haven't been able to use goose with it yet. I've run DeepSeek r1 at a similar rate... This new Qwen model is much better than DeepSeek, though this feels like inspecting the gift horse's teeth.
Overall, this configuration is a hedge: $4k for slow inference of 1000B models. It's also a beast of a conventional server – by running proxmox as the base, you can cut things up into hundreds of useful containers.
But you need to have the patience to get into quasi BIOS hacking, hardware tuning, numa layouts, Linux administration, kernel modules, performance tuning, etc. Not everyone has an appetite for this.
Most people are going to want to buy the $10k Mac Studio with 512 GB of Unified Memory and make things work from there. But, $20k is a lot more than $4k, and you could scale down the EPYC build even farther. This guy has tested many: https://digitalspaceport.com
Thanks for the context and gist. Unable to zap.
How is the experience and the output? Amy other large models that run on this? Worth it?
I saw a mystical creature yesterday. Unlike anything I've even seen in my life.

Saw something similar in Romania. After taking a picture, I ran for the hills from that creature.
Reminds of the game "Spore".
Care to elaborate a bit about hashicorpo?
TLDR they should be similar, almost the same.
Way back, they got the chassis, monitor and mainboard made by the same OEM (Clevo?). System76 developed their own firmware build on core boot. Not sure they are 100% compatible. Gotta research that.
We've got Saylor now. :/
Is this from a sci-fi source?
