If any of you have brokerage accounts, or invest in stocks & bonds and haven’t heard of the “Great Taking” I suggest you look into it.
Here is an interview with the author of the book and a podcaster that did a whole series on it..

In related news, I’m currently executing the will of a loved one and it’s a mess..
Beyond just the family drama of it, the brokerage firms where they had IRA’s and personal investment accounts are making the process quite onerous and tedious- so fiat.
So if you plan on dying and have investment accounts I suggest you name a beneficiary, cause getting them to transfer funds to the estate has been a royal PITA (lookin at you Ally and Profunds). I know we all hate vanguard and blackrock but vanguard was actually super easy comparatively.
Lastly- if you have even one asset make sure you have a will. Don’t leave it up to the government.
And if you have kids- don’t put off making a guardian list, etc
I’ll get off my soap box now, thanks for listening to my Ted talk :)

Nah. We're all-in on bitcoin. This might be good for the Twitter people. 😁
Wow. That's impressive. 🫡
The world wars are caused by a loss of faith in the money. I wouldn't say it's religion, but it's in the same ballpark.
The block subsidy began at 50 bitcoin every ten minutes.
Every 210,000 blocks, the subsidy is cut in half until we reach just under 21 million bitcoin around 2139.
There are 144 ten minute blocks in a day.
52,560 per year.
210,248 ten minute blocks every 4 years, so we have a halving every 4 years and a couple days. The math is easier than it looks.
I've wanted to do my grocery shopping on a bike ever since reading this, but have only done it for a few things here and there.

How do you get the eggs home without breaking them? Do you use a bicycle trailor?
#bitcoinhalving is coming !
Meanwhile in the fiat world: https://video.nostr.build/96772b88570bb942794e14e2e94eb15e94b0be1ec927095ff128b70731481cea.mp4
This looks like such a waste of energy🤑.
Agreed. This is the first thing I thought of when I saw Jackcs Tortilla chip/peaunut presentation to the IMF. 🤣
Companies like Western Union fleece the poor. Fiat must die.
If it's already in corporate media, you know it's too late to do anything about it...

This should be the biggest issue in the election. There are no debates instead. Politicians can't do anything other than call each other names. That's not a good sign.
Do what you want. That's how freedom works. 😁

Crazy how you could buy a house for that many sats now.
Not really, but it's interesting if you're a nerd.
That's pretty cool. A couple years ago, I used Oaknode to schedule lightning payments every 6 blocks. It was difficult to get lightning addresses from people back then.
#Nostrfixesthis.
Is there a way to encrypt a message to an npub using AES encryption?
The idea is to send AES ciphertext using a dead man's switch that is deciphered by a noatr client.
I don’t think I really started listening to bitcoin podcasts until about 2019, when I found nostr:npub14mcddvsjsflnhgw7vxykz0ndfqj0rq04v7cjq5nnc95ftld0pv3shcfrlx. Listened to Pomp early on, too, when he was more bitcoin focused.
I'm making a list of the early podcasts I listened to. I'm sure there were more. Let me know if I should add anything to the list. #asknostr
There were almost no podcasts back then. We Talk Bitcoin was about the only one aside from a few episodes of JRE and EconTalk.
Wait, it's included now? So I paid for nothing?
10% of all zaps on this note goes to opensats.
Wekcome. Add a lightning address so we can zap you.
This is a good one for beginers. You can switch to wallets that require less trust later.

What's Paul's npub?
Great idea. Have you seen this?
I never saw flowers on legacy social media unless it was an ad for fowers dot com or something.
The flowers are one of my favorite things about nostr.😊
Mutiny Wallet has a built in list in the app.
