Yes. Every Chinese company is owned and controlled by the CCP. If I’m going to live among brainwashed NPCs addicted to centralized social media, I’d much rather they be brainwashed by people who share the same culture and country. At least this way, those doing the brainwashing have some skin in the game and have to coexist with the NPCs they influence. Forcing TikTok to divest and hand over ownership to an American company seems like a perfectly logical and fair solution.
I don’t use anything besides Nostr, but I know that every Chinese company is controlled by the CCP.
All centralized broadcasting platforms inevitably become propaganda tools for governments. The level of manipulation is so sophisticated—thanks to algorithms—that users often don’t even realize they’re being programmed. These platforms should crash and burn, especially if they’re controlled by the CCP.
I see both sides of the argument, but the CCP clearly doesn’t play fair. For them, it’s a one-way street. They have every incentive to continue manipulating and accelerating cultural decay.
EVERY Nostr client should have this feature!

Hi Pablo, I like zapping with Strike, but that doesn’t seem to be an option on Olas. Also, I use Alby to receive zaps. I have a zap notification from you, but never got the zap.
