Nice summary of the space.

Oh, it’s annoying that Damus doesn’t save drafts…

I proposed a talk on Nostr like protocols. I think it’d be useful to get a summary of how nostr differs from ssb, p2panda, earthstar, farcaster, at_protocol… and what we can learn from those projects.

Should I just propose a session time as a comment on the spreadsheet?

I think the algorithms are fine if there is agency and transparency. Let me see what these algorithms do and choose which ones I want.

I’d like to give a talk about learning from ssb (secure scuttlebutt). It’s one of the inspirations for nostr and I think it’d help people understand prior art and paths for future development.

Why not say relays should honor delete timestamps. This feels backwards.

Entirely new apps is a longer process. Might be a few days the first time.

Just needs the ability to label other events and for while identities. The tags part is what tumblr has and that’s good. Maybe suggested tags for things like nsfw.

I think we need to write up a content warning NIP. That way we can either tag our own events or entire feed with a warning or tag others. There is no problem with things like porn as long as it can be easily filtered and not displayed if you don’t want it.

That’s exactly what I would imagine your bedroom to look like.

Registering trademark takes a long time. But showing you have use and documenting it sets the date. Now you need to file and get it provisional and then you can defend it. Happy to connect you with who we used.

I’m not sure, I’m thinking 2 to 4 days, everybody is coming all the way, might as well get folks building stuff. The cost of food and a venue aren’t a lot vs the opportunity for folks who are traveling far and being able to be in the same place.

But would it be possible to use the same space after the conf for the hackathon?

Exactly. We do conference and talks to learn, set the stage, and make proposals. Then we get inspired and hack.

I hope it’s a joke

We can help with the cost. I’m sure others can too.
