Dan came to Nostr after a long stay with Twitter. Fellow Bitcoiners spoke highly of it and that was enough for Dan to jump onto a burgeoning decentralized protocol.
His Bitcoin journey started in 2015, while he was in a dark place in his life. Always an artist, he uses a free and open source graphics program called GIMP to produce his digital comics. Dan also recommends working with Affinity, a company who makes a digital set of programs. Pay once, lifetime use. He has been working, making graphics for clothing, that he intends to sell on nostr for Sats. His other passions are comics, one which is currently running on nostr. @spiralnotebookcomics. Secretary Janet Yellen has skin in the Bitcoin game. Having concerns about the Bitcoin community fading away into the nether as it has happened in 2009/10, they see Nostr as a breath of vital air in the Bitcoin world. Nostr is the way to keep the Bitcoiners active at off of centralized social tech.
They took a look around Nostr and noted a lack of memes. Having some several folders at their disposal, they went to work spreading Bitcoin signal. Plebs took to it well, asking them to come back after a their absence was noted. Grateful for the support from like-minded plebs, they are back in the meme game harder than before.
