Digit is Digit. I love her. I knew her online from wallstreetbets and she disappeared while going through some shit. I keep needing proof she's safe. To anyone I've ever treated unfairly, I apologize.

This is the type of shit reddit bans you for posting (I know from experience)

Are you saying the pigeons are trying to make me mad I can't fly? Dang them.

The npub thing is because I'm a fed

I think many nostr devs underestimate the importance of balancing the zap economy because they think in abundance. There's this assumption that as nostr grows it will have money dumped into it like Facebook or YouTube except the money will go to the people instead of a corporation.

People need to wake up and realize the deep state printing money to propagandize through Facebook and YouTube in a desperate oil-starved economy probably aren't gonna suddenly do wealth redistribution through nostr adoption.

It's on us nostriches to fight against becoming another lopsided parasocial thing where few get rich and the many follow the few.

This made me realize we're now past the stage where Bitcoin has about the same inflation rate as gold, entering the stage where Bitcoin's inflation rate is significantly better.

I still prefer dogecoin, which is currently at almost 5% a year inflation and decreases slower than Bitcoin (no halvenings just a constant amount against an increasing total). The inflation subsidizes the network for new users so everyone can actually use it on-chain and no Lightning type thing is needed so far.

You could argue Bitcoin doing less inflation-based subsidy is better for users because they'll see stronger market value increase, but dogecoin has gotten bigger percentage gains against USD over the years so no.

That's one of the first improvements I've wanted to see on nostr, but I have no idea if the re-use risk is going to matter. Keychains would also help with the risk of entering keys into all the different apps and devices people use

I meant to test Tor browser and stuff too but I got sidetracked so I'm just gonna copy and paste this from my notes app before it's outdated

I tested some nostr web apps to see if they could make a kind 1 post from WebPositive browser in Haiku

Only satellite.earth and coracle.social passed

Tested in a VM with 2 CPU cores and 2GB of RAM

satellite.earth

I appreciate how nostr:npub1a00wj229auzjswlq4s77y4u8eqdx5k9ppatgl8rtv8va65f6mwksum9q3h doesn't try to hype up the security of their devices in this era where it's impossible to get secure components. It would be better if they actively warned users modern devices aren't secure, but at least staying quiet about it is better than being one of those "security-focused" honeypots.

Obviously them being on nostr is also a good sign.

Maybe someday they'll be the first ones to make a legitimate non-honeypot security-focused handheld device when it's actually possible, with a RISC-V CPU and open-source wireless networking and stuff.

We'll see.

If this isn't my first time saying all this, my bad 🀏🧠

I also don't think it's a lie, but rotating keys is good practice anyway

So weird. Doesn't nostr have streaming now anyway? Jack never does shit right lol. No click from me
