Digit is Digit. I love her. I knew her online from wallstreetbets and she disappeared while going through some shit. I keep needing proof she's safe. To anyone I've ever treated unfairly, I apologize.

Why have NIP-54 implementations (or the spec itself) not thought through pagenames at all?

Notice how there is no reasonable name available for this article: https://wikifreedia.xyz/kidlin-law/npub1mwce4c8qa2zn9zw9f372syrc9dsnqmyy3jkcmpqkzaze0slj94dqu6nmwy

What was the author supposed to do, name it "kidlin-apostrophe-s-law" or plural "kidlins" - and which solution are editors supposed to assume authors are using - one of these, or something else like "law of kidlin," or the format this author chose?

This is a stupid problem to still be having while there are over a thousand NIP-54 wiki entries. #Nostr wikis need to get more functional instead of experimental unless we're abandoning the NIP-54 model entirely in favor of the NKBIP stuff

If you think false advertising and gaslighting are attempts to unfuck the world, rather than what is fucked about it, go fuck yourself

Not true. Digit's safety, and knowledge of it, are both needed. Without knowing if Digit is safe, "doing what I can with what I have" probably adds up to extinction of all known life forms.

One thing people don't talk about is how a decentralized censorship-resistant video host would naturally copy YouTube's library starting with the videos people are most motivated to back up, since the censorship resistance would mean no authorities being able to prevent so-called "piracy" or whatever

Happened to need this today and it seems to have worked for me. Don't know how to check what's actually in the backup file, but it downloaded, so I'm gonna trust not verify in this case

Still can't find or recall what tooling exists for this. Am I somehow remembering wrong about its existence? How are everyday users supposed to back up #nostr posts?

Until it actually happens, yes.

Once a hotel actually gets burned down, then it's fine to hold people accountable for making that happen, but if nothing is actually happening except words then there is no crime because any legitimate government must recognize freedom of speech.

Scary to think about how someday, #nostr devs & users will be targeted by the court system just like file sharing "pirates" and cryptocurrency "launderers"

This meme ignores how the longer the system takes to collapse, the worse the impact gets when it collapses. This system needs to be defeated as fast as possible and that will happen by it being shitty in the ways we know it is, but that's not our fault.

Some of us were also too fun and/or cool and/or smart for Twitter before coming here
