Hey, nostr:npub1fl7pr0azlpgk469u034lsgn46dvwguz9g339p03dpetp9cs5pq5qxzeknp & @j , if you guys are on twitter can you screen cap and store some of the anti-drive chain tweets you come across ? When bip300 is activated and works, i think they will try to memory hole and delete their bad takes.
Drivechain interacts with main chain like any other UTXO.
So i have repeatedly asked these people, almost three or more up to now, how it affects main the way they claim ? Show me on the bip proposal.
Each time it ends up in them leaving the technical conversation.
In other words, fees to miners appear as though they are processing any other regular users transaction.
There is no block reorg, no modification to the way blocks are mined. No config of consensus rules.
The days and weeks after Drivechain activation will be exactly the same as the weeks before.
I do not recall miners coordinating through softforks to respond to attacks. Do you have an example?
Nope that was mistaken. I think i had ordinals in mind when i said that, which obviously doesn't fit.
The improvement part still applies :
There is a drivechain test net with several active sidechains including a a zcash and lightning clone.
I asked a simple questions about bip300 design and you are bailing out. If i'm correct, miners don't need you to run it on your node. Bip300 consensus is describing consensus among other miners, messaging and voting is among miners, not nodes and miners like blocks, transactions ect.
From the BIP specification:
“Bip300 allows for six new blockchain messages (these have consensus significance)”
https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0300.mediawiki#user-content-Specification
Global consensus or sidechain consensus ?
Are the messages intended for miners or miners and nodes for verificatoon, conf, ect ?
what do you mean by bip300 block ?
How does bip 300 change consensus rules ?
ME TOO, I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN !
So what do you mean by hashpower ? You mean mining and transaction fees right ?
Because that is how bitcoin works fren.
The longevity of bitcoin security relies on fees, not mining or price per bitcoin reward for mining.
Also read the FAQ, instead of people writing about Drivechain. People writing about DC are often involved in competing projects who stand to lose from becoming irelevant. Good luck.

Bitcoins price being manipulated by SEC decisions and bitcoiner psychology is WAY more concerning than drivechains to me.
Not true. If you actually read the bip301Blind merged mining. Let's say 90% of hash is devoted to a single sidechain. That means those miners are being paid in bitcoin, being paid in bitcoin IS network security.
before they ran a seperate node to be paid in that sidechains token, lets say ethereum for example. With BMM bip301 they are paid in bitcoin, which secures the network.
a Whole coin is just an arbitrary concept. Owning one bitcoin seems like a big deal to us because we've seen it go from 0 to 69k. One "bitcoin" is just x amount of sats. One day owning .10 of a bitcoin might seem to the next generation the way we feel about one bitcoin now.
It's not like dollars, where 1 dollar was once what we think of as 100 dollars now. It's deflation.
Does not cannibalise btc hash. sidechain and btc hash end up securing eachother. A miner that secures a side chain is paid in btc which is a btc tx. More btc txs secures the network.
People like Paul is the reason corporations have Ceo's and Cto's.
Instead of saying: "Yes, we have had activation ready code for years."
He says:
"I would not say we have code that is at the standard of bitcoin core."
All people hear is "No, and our project is just an idea."
Look at the Blackberry movie, you need a guy to say "LET'S FUCKING GO!" And buys a hockey team.
In S14 E10 of the Bitcoin Takeover podcast, Paul Sztorc answers to a series of pressing questions about Drivechains (BIP 300/301).
In this clip, you can hear the Layer Two Labs CEO talk about the issue of a sidechain becoming more dominant than Bitcoin itself – meaning that it processes more transactions, collects more fees, and gets more users than the base layer.
Listen to the entire interview on YouTube! The audio-only version will also get uploaded on Spotify & Apple Podcasts later today.
