entire Bitcoin market is a mess. Robinhood and Coinbase are down. two of our LPs behind the scenes have gone down completely.

How long does it take to set up a node?

Hey, this is my first post here on Nostr (or maybe it’s Damus?)

Honestly, I’m still figuring out which is which — but I wanted to jump in and get started.

The reason I’m here is simple: I no longer trust that traditional social media platforms are permanent. After 10 years of building, sharing, and helping others, I lost an account without warning. No explanation. Just gone. And I know I’m not the only one.

That’s why I’m giving this space a try. I want to keep creating, sharing, and connecting — but this time in a place that respects creators a bit more.

So what do I do?

I run a marketing and media business, helping companies build strong websites, rank higher on Google with SEO, and bring their story to life through video and photography. I film, edit, design, and promote — all with the goal of helping people get seen and grow.

Looking forward to seeing what this community becomes.

Q: Can browser apps access tor onion sites? Such sites could not have a valid certificate, right? So I'm guessing they cannot.

So then tor usage is limited to having the client tunnel everything through tor and out through some exit node to a regular website with a valid cert.

And zaps are gone again... sigh

Talked to a guy a recently who's in the online marketing space.

He had a lot of interesting questions about nostr.

BUT

He just couldn't get past the fact that you won't be able to force people to watch your shitty ads in the legacy, attention-hijacking way.

If you want people to see ads you'll have to earn it.

He felt almost INSULTED.

Entitled to the ability to drop a few $$ mils on Facebook's lap and get immediate access to millions of targeted eyeballs.

As if someone had taken away he had taken for granted, the unalienable right to pay to feed shit down people's throats

Like a central banker having their handy printer taken away.

The amount of cope, yelling-at-the-clouds and hate we'll see will be unprecedented.

Interestingly enough, I think nostr will be amazing for SMART marketers and true talent and honed craft will shine even more than in the legacy web.
