Oh wait, nvm. I was zooming in on the second image, not thw OP image. Yup.

High-resolution image rendering could be improved nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z
Here is what I see when I zoom in using Amethyst VS what I see in the browser:

Not too bad for. as expected pixelation.

Both end up custodial. Not cool. Custodied wallets like binance are already censoring tx's. Larger blocks, as you say, lead to only large players.
In the hypothetical, third options don't exist, but in reality they do.
Drivechains; reduce the block size (yes , reduce, you read that right) ossify, push scaling to layer 2 , user choice opt in sidechains.
Maxi's would rather see Bitcoin die then admit the simplest elegant solution all along, that they did not come up with, out of their infinite genious.
Ooooh. This explains so much.
Which project are you speaking about here ? From what i've seen you receive a url to virtual coins on a mint representing bitcoin, that then point to channel locked bitcoin on LN, that can then sign an amount of onchain to your address through regular lightning off ramps (which are difficult for small amounts.)
Square
Circle
The words....😑
Lyn was not refering to any specific project, but they all share similar problems. Complexity, ( some inherit even more complexity from underlying infra) thus weakness at scale, and trust.
Its been around for a while, and like fusion power is perpetually the next big thing. We would all be better off if it were but like string theory its mostly mental masturbation for people who can code and parse math equations in a dying civilization that had a brief golden age in physics before our births... wow that got dark....
What existing apps could have a Nostr integration or plugin?

Lbry.
LBRY is not dead. This is more a test of the community, than anything. The lawsuite is kinda dumb, because you can't really stop a protocol. Lbry inc, the company was aunctioned off a few days ago, but lbry files can live on to be served on odysee or elsewhere.
Nostr is not designed to host large files. For instance, The entire "Hobbit" movie was "uploaded" to nostr, but all it was, was a link to a file on a private server. Relays push that text link around. The client can play the embeded files and some clients host images for you, for ease of use or automagically host it on third party providers. I doubt client servers would allow large multi megabite videos though. If it did, it would face centralization and legal pressure like any other server. Something Lbry is resistant to.
The holy grail of file hosting is easy, redundant, and nostr like censorship resistance. Even Odysee hosts most of the content on its own servers for ease of access, and still does, having moved them to areweave servers apparently. A centralization weakness, but not true closure.
Some other proposed solutions such as Sia, and Ipfs also have shitcoins attached to them, all holdovers from the "buzz" and funding around ipo's and alt coins, over the last few years. Many genuinly felt an altcoin contributed to the game theory of making defi work. If they had all used zaps instead of trying to run their own money currency AND technology company (seems really dumb in retrospect), they would have likely been spared legal issues, while benefiting from adoption.
Not sure why i write big long replies to your posts, but the questions are good.
By design, public systems must cater to the first three quartiles.
Theft through these by the fourth is also by design.
Apologies. No. Got that info from a usually reliable source. They've been slipping lately though. Lbry inc assets and domain were auctioned recently. Can't find any info on to who though. Appears to be speculation or rumor.

Great question. I think about this a lot. Apps without zaps seem so antiquated. Like activists whinning about their Gofundme or Patreon being closed, and not offering a BTC address.
f-droid could have a review section based on the most liked/zapped posts about apps on there. Point to a note with the source url as the first line, parse the rest of the content and npub as the review.

To the best of my knowledge, No. Transaction fees are not part of the security design of Monero. As demand increases, so does block size. (This solution was rejected by bitcoin several years ago and is the "blocksize wars").
This means more of the transaction confirmations can be processed for each block, in BTC this is a hard limited, leading to increases in fees.
It's like there only being one Bank for a city and everyone must only use one bank branch, the cost for getting to and into the branch to deposit or withdraw money would be very high, people would pay higher fees to people closer in line, to cut in.
In XMR fees might temporarily increase in response to a spike, but will trend back down. Like building a bank branch that can increase or decrease in size at will to house with so many tellers, no one has to wait in line.
That there is a small fee at all is to provide some small positive incentive to miners/nodes for running and to reduce abuse, spam.
When Btc fees increase, the economic principals at play by design, are the assumption that more miners will come online to meet demand and return to equilibrium(lowest fees possible). As new miners come online, we will see the fees go down again, in BTC. This has happened many times, with a backlog in low fee ordinal tx's being cleared recently.
Monero has taken a unique activist, grass roots based security/hashing architecture. Mining and fees are both non economic, this places Monero as private cash.
You might also be interested to look into how tail emmisions in Monero make it different then BTC.
Did you know they got bought out by ADL aligned groups ad they are doxxing Alt right people on there based on records held by it. LBRY INC, the company. Pretty sure lbry the protocol is not stoppable.
