Love it! That sounds like an extremely useful productive thing to do. Currently I'm using that technology more and more and would eventually also make that move. If I look as a frontend dev what I've built the last decade for others, I see it doesn't empower people at all. It's difficult to empower people and get paid for it along the way.
Currently trying it on GrapheneOS and works nice. The only thing I cant't find is to subscribe to channels. How can I do that?
Most who are not into Bitcoin don't know about Bitcoin's scarcity that is beyond this world and exponential increasing for the next 117 years.
Probably the simplest is to earn it.
On Mutiny Wallet I haven't been able to receive bitcoin via Lightning by scanning a qr code. With WOS it is Receive and scan. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
WOS has a lightning address which I like very much. I didn't see that with Mutiny, but that's probably because you can't have a lightning address with a non-custodial Lightning wallet?
Bitcoin is trust.
Bitcoin is private property.
Bitcoin is an honest ledger.
Bitcoin is apolitical money.
Bitcoon is the best savings technology.
I think that someone like that could solve Argentina's problems if he can remove the central bank. Because that's the source of the problems.
Agreed. It can be a parasite for those who can't withstand all the endless temptations. But it can also be used to educate, to empower and so much more.
That song and his story are so heartbreaking. Introducing him to Bitcoin would make his world a little bit better I hope as he probably sees there's a way out.
I try not to repost stuff here that I already posted on Twitter / X, but this is too cool not share.
There's one thing that excites me more than anything with this project, and that's when people start saving in #Bitcoin, as a way to change their own future.
Sizwe is the owner of the GlobalBTCFest shack that we painted in January. Like all of the other painted-shack owners he receives R60 (~$3.50) in sats/week.
This is one way to get small amounts of #Bitcoin into the hands of the community without just handing it out randomly, but paying it in exchange for something. To encourage the circular economy.
Most spend their sats at the township shops we onboarded. But not Sizwe.
Sizwe saved all his sats. And over the course of 33 weeks (with weekly payments of 10k - 12k sats) he's saved over 350k sats, ~ $100 in Bitcoin, which nostr:npub10vudmjqhr8kn2kv2pxhezt2h5t5c9zauwq8qr56nhdn64yacsqyqf08djm moved into a self-custody wallet for him his week.
If you'd like to help encourage Sizwe to keep going, to keep saving, you can send him some sats here:
rumpledfang28@walletofsatoshi.com
Plus, all zaps received in response to this post will be sent to Sizwe.

Sats sent :-)
Bitcoin as digital cash is more comparable to the physical transfer of physical money, because they both are free of counterparty risk.
That's a fantastic test score!
What is nowadays the public's way of punishing bad actors for stealing our time and labour?
Bitcoin is trust.
Bitcoin brings trust.
Bitcoin replaces trust.
Can this be a graph for Bitcoin newcomers to critically think about their current fiat money?
Beautiful graph. I wonder what someone thinks of this graph that doesn't believe in Bitcoin.
