Thanks from a dad of 3 😁! I'm sending it to my wife.

As Orthodox, I had a good chuckle at the "I grew up Catholic, but wanted to go to a Christian church" part 😍

I got to use the Python tool for deleting files from Git history called git-filter-repo for the first time. It was easy to use & ran quickly. Git's website recommends using it instead of Git's own filter-branch command: https://git-scm.com/docs/git-filter-branch#_warning.

Hopefully I'll try out Jujutsu (jj) someday for the same purpose. It looks like a very promising Git alternative since it's simpler & it's compatible with all services that use Git, like GitLab & Bitbucket, because it can optionally use Git under the hood. Here's the Jujutsu documentation if you want to learn more: https://jj-vcs.github.io/jj/latest/.

I recently switched to #jujutsu and it's been amazing. It is so good for stacked PRs, I'm not sure, if I can go back to plain git ever.

The Lord would not agree with the anarchist claim - Mark 12:14-17. Neither would St. Paul - Romans 13.

Look, I get it. You want your space-era communism (anarchism is communism for the educated*) to be in the Bible and to be validated by God's word. The problem is - it isn't there. Now, you can either swallow your pride and approach God in humility, or invent your own god and scripture.

* Yes, I've read Rothbard and Konkin and the whole bunch. I used to be a fan. Not anymore.

Yes and no. John 18:36 and all that.

But, getting back to the original question, where does the Bible advocate for anarchism?

That's more pro monarchy than pro anarchy IMO

8:22 “Listen to their voice,” the LORD said to Samuel. “Appoint a king for them.”

I botched the reply lol. nostr:nprofile1qqs0eac2gh86s9l24qfmnw52xawhz0f3d862yleaetpafygjmanaxlspzvs8wumn8ghj7ur4wfcxcetsv9njuetnqyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvalerx9 it's not anarchy, but monarchy 😅

I think the usual formulation of the Trinity is three coeternal persons (hypostases) sharing one divine nature (homoousion).

A good thing to keep in mind is that the Trinity is a mystery that's not fully revealed to us. What are the three's interactions, for example, at the time of Jesus' baptism on the Jordan river? We have the Father talking to the Son and the Holy Spirit descending, but why did they do it like that?

I was not planning on having a discussion. My point was that your questions have been answered long ago and I was trying to point you to the answers. Sadly I can't summarize St. Athanasius' "On the Incarnation" or St. John of Damascus' "On the Orthodox Faith" in a note 😃

I believe I did. His human nature had limits. He hungered, thirsted, felt sorrow and pain. Do you have the exact verse? Maybe there is more in the context.

No. More like existing together before time and space existed.

It's all in the Nicene Creed.

Love your #peatstr posts! Could you recommend a book on this, please? Or some other intro resource. All I've seen are the articles on raypeat.com
