Always felt rushed to get the work done as quickly as possible. Rushed to get a well-rounded meal in my body. Rushed to take a break, go for a walk to get some air

And the kicker.. the harder you work, your reward is more work and less time back in your day

I’m not great at speaking up when someone does something I don’t appreciate. I tend to be agreeable and give them the benefit of the doubt

But I’ve learned that holding my tongue breeds micro resentments that pile up until they spill out unexpectedly

To counter this, I like to visualize a clear pond full of fish. Every time I hold back, a fish dies and floats to the surface. If I stay silent too often, my pond fills with dead fish. But when I speak up, a fish revives and disappears from the surface

This reminds me that staying silent may seem easier or it may not be worth the time and energy, but in fact it only disservices yourself and those around you in in the long run

It makes the pond full of dead fish - nobody can be happy if their pond is full of dead fish

The natural light you have is impeccable

Last year I moved away from Canada to Texas for 8 months for a project

I was away from my partner, my family and my friends and spent a lot of my nights and weekends in solitude

Rather than watching TV and consuming, I was using that energy towards creative outlets. I was looking for something that could help quiet my mind, as my day job was quite mentally taxing

I collected various materials from local consignment stores and would sit down to let me mind flow with whatever came to mind. There was no wrong answer here, as it was just play

I came to find an outlet that calms me, quiets the mind, and that I was surprisingly good at

I’d encourage everyone to use any free time to stop consuming, play more, explore yourself and your creative abilities

We are all creators. We just need to be intentional with play and letting the mind wander without judgement

With companies nowadays cutting costs as much as possible to push products to market, they sacrifice quality by using cheap, synthetic ingredients over organic

I was shocked when I found out most of the products I was eating, drinking, putting on my skin and my hair were awful for the body

I’ve been using the app religiously for the last few years and now almost all of the food, beverage and body products in my

home are all organic
