They're just doing it wrong. There are good processes for turning plants into meat. And they're super simple too. For instance, you can generate meat by feeding the plants to cows. 🌱 🐮

I love Whitney Webb. Her podcast hasn't had updates since she's been dealing with her sick infant (😞) .. haven't heard of this podcast; will give a listen.

This is a really dumb oversimplification. It doesn't talk about what the money goes to. An insane amount of it does go to war/defense. But it also goes to roads, infrastructure, national electricity grids, schools (use to be a good thing, but now not so much), parks, land management.

There isn't a small army of enforces that are IRS agents. A lot of those circles, well over 2/3rds likely, believes in the way the system is laid out. They have enough belief that those who apply and get hired to be police, enforce the laws of the small gang. People elect smaller gangs that appoint/elect local judges. The judicial systems people believe in enforce tax laws. You can sometimes win over a jury in a tax evasion case, but it's a huge risk.

There is way too much money given over to war. But that too is a bit of an over simplification. Why does the EU have so much money for health care? They've outsourced defense to the US. Their medical innovations mostly come from the US. When they can't afford their own health systems, nations like Canada start promoting MAID/suicide.

A developed State provides for technology to scale immensely. The Internet came from defense. Mass communication from war technology. A stable state can always provide cheap clean water.

But power has to be balanced. When people do not feel they have to answer to the people, and/or a higher power, they believe they know the best way to direct the society, because that society selected them. If they grow more control and dismiss criticism, you get China with its devastating one-child policy, corrurpt construction business and cities that are built to literally fall apart.

The key is to always accept criticism. But those in charge always want to squash any freedom to speech and disagree. If enough people stop having faith in the State, it evaporates. You will likely lose your clean water, infrastructure, electricity and food security. Sometimes you won't, but it's rare, and usually the resulting state will have to be more authoritarian.

This whole dot video is fucking reductive and stupid.

People bitch about that one free speech group (can't remember the name) just being a lobby funded by the on-line porn industry, but it doesn't mean they're wrong. Requiring age verification means requiring an ID tied to your Internet interactions. In the UK, your identity is literally tied to your phone's sim card or home broadband connection if you want to access everything.

Texas and other states doing this are being super retard and don't realize (or maybe do realize?) they're pushing for more control over individuals on the Internet and the total loss of any anonymity. This is how you get rightish (non-libertarian) conservatives on board with digital identity tracking.

I never use pornhub (never pay for porn; it's immoral. Use torrent sites. Make the whore a slut), but this is just peak dumb. The only good that might come out of it is people start using alternatives to Pornhub?

Hot and psychotic

I dated a friend in Germany once. She had an ex who was very abusive and literally locked her out of their apartment, which she was paying half the rent for, in the freezing cold. Another roommate let her in.

She would probably find this funny, but I can't send it to her. We don't talk anymore after she went crazy hard left in 2020.

The maoriwordguy account was literally created two days ago. I have a feeling the name and this issue, were probably both created by the same guy.

I mean ... maybe some people ... if they're into that :blobcatnervous:

Pipa is the archetype of "Femcel Tomling?" (whatever the fuck that is)

I'll never understand the cognitive dissonance of people who claim they want to do good for the world advocating violence for those who do not share a subset of their beliefs; thereby characterizing them as inhuman and to be justifiably killed.

How progressive of them to not be willing to accept that maybe their beliefs are wrong or misguided.

Wouldn't it be better for all people if they got into schools based on their merits?

So if you don't like games with terrible writing, you're sexist? Unless it's a Senran Kagura game, in which case if you like it despite the terrible writing, you're sexist?

I haven't caught up on web comics in a while. I went to check out Diesel Sweeties and the store and archives seem broken, there's no date on the page but my RSS reader says the last comic is from 25 April 2022, and I went to check his Xitter feed and there's insane virtual signaling reeeeee shit about brain chip guy.

I am sure it was a suicide. With 15 stab wounds in the back, tied up in a bag.

or Clinton style: suicide with two to the back of the head

I just assumed this was happening at the time. I remember the videos with all the late model white Toyota trucks that they obviously had the money to buy from ... somewhere.

I didn't know the actual name of the operation came out.

Are there things in the NT besides Darwin and Alice Springs?

He didn't start a new war. That makes him anti-war .. because the bar in our lifetimes is literally that low. That's how fucked up the last 40 years of military industry complex has been. Here are some predictions I made back in 2020:

https://battlepenguin.com/politics/who-will-lead-us-from-war/

I'm surprised whoever is puppeting pedo-Joe hasn't gotten us into more large scale wars. I guess it's so unpopular it's just better to fund proxy wars; plus America's military is probably not even fit for cannon fodder.

Trump's recent NATO stuff and how "countries should pay their dues" is just him advocating for the military industrial complex; specifically other countries should pay their share to the war industry.

Yea I don't disagree with you too much. I guess I just want all the Jan 6th political prisoners pardoned more than anything, and I don't think anyone else would do that. I feel really sorry for them. They did nothing wrong and many face 10~15 years in prison, where people who murdered and burned everything in the 2020 riots get nothing.
