Remember that Rome was not built in one day, nor will it deteriorate in one.
It may have Fallen, but it remains forever in the memory of all who choose to look what the ancient past gifted us in virtues of honour, integrity, self-discipline, courage and fortitude.
Plus, they built those incredible aqueducts to get water everywhere. I’d say a damn sight more superior than what we are doing today.
So is Damus or Primal best to use?

What app are you using to read this?
We have “likes” on #nostr, see screenshot of my notifications in Damus.
But we prefer “zaps” - sending small amounts of Bitcoin to good posts.
You need to setup a Bitcoin Lightning wallet to receive zaps though. Download https://www.walletofsatoshi.com , create an account, then press “Receive” and post a screenshot of your QR code and receiving address. 
So instead of Likes, people Zap?

but I saw from another account on X who uses Primal, which looks a lot like X.
So the same login will work across both “clients?”
So Primal looks like a more user friendly platform, is that right?
How do I set up Primal?

I’m currently in Damus but this is confusing to use.

Not a lot of difference really, except that the Romans at least had honour and exhibited valour in their deeds, unlike our sorry lot in Australia! 
I write mostly on ancient Roman history and often draw parallels to current events. And there is absolutely no shortage of material from which to draw 😁🏛️
I now have to work out how this all works😆

nostr is small and tight, most people you will encounter are #nostronly maxis and a lot of bitcoiners, and then a little contingent of people who like to whine about how we talk a lot about bitcoin, but actually that's just primal, so beware primal's trending feed, better to find some good writers like nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a and check out who and what engages, she often posts a lot about her life story and her current place in Cairo
myself, i'm australian, living in #madeira in the atlantic, #golang programmer and trying to build a nostr relay called #realy https://realy.lol and finally solve the problem of chat on nostr, which is unfortunately quite muddled due to some funny attitudes about privacy and the non-negotiable relay architecture of nostr
the main thing you need to understand about #nostr is that a lot of us are programmers building stuff for nostr, and the actual primary topic of discussion that gets the most volume here is nostr itself, and discussions around apps and proposals for protocol extensions
Had a few people telling me about it.

If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, a dedicated lightning wallet is also a good idea!
