I think good people just want options. You never know when that might be an appropriate thing to say. I just donโ€™t like the double standard

I was thinking 60s. The background looks like it was in Animal House

Rooted in something external? You had it. It was called Proof of Work.

Likes?? So Web 2.0. No, exert 3 calories of effort and zap that fucking dude some fucking value!

Actually I was envisioning some sort of revocable key generated when authorizing the client

Follow up: I received my Avalon Nano 3 without any additional KYC after all. Maybe they consider your shipping address KYC ๐Ÿคท

I gave nostr:npub18s4zkd0wjq5gkthz4paw2704ty4s354wcp2krvxy0sewz3g9z2cs73ydrt crap about the compensation negotiation poison pill in their developer job application form, but it now looks like that was a bit harsh since nostr:npub18q57qr3t07qljnapzqldaqa7ru2qwfpfnjdrwvhk327n3sc82f0qqwrs6f is moving to a nonprofit structure: https://proton.me/foundation

Thatโ€™s a pretty huge move. Massive respect. They definitely need to pinch sats in that case. I just wonder if removing the profit motive boosts or harms their chances to accomplish what they set out to do. e.g. Mozilla Firefox vs. Google Chrome ๐Ÿค”

Why do companies ask for salary expectations up front? If they want to save time, just list the ranges they're willing to pay. Otherwise it makes it sound like they're too cost-conscience and/or trying to eliminate the negotiation that should naturally happen *after* the candidate knows more about what the responsibilities are and who they will be working with.
