Message heard loud and clear. If I disagree with you on anything I will make sure you know about it 😁

IMHO more likely just broken functionality. I've always had problems uploading images and it didn't work for this note (nostrudel) either.

I hope she feels like that all the time. More likely, she needs to emphasize the rewarding moments so she can get through the rest of them.

This type of post creates hugely unrealistic expectations and high societal pressure for new mothers. In my experience it is far from snuggling and endless love only. A woman who raised two great kids once told me there were moments where she felt like dumping the baby in the trash can.

Raising children is very hard work, especially the first year and even more so, the puberty years.

Is it worth doing? Yes, I thinks so, for most people. I am yet to meet a perfect parent though.

A couple of months ago I set up DNS filtering for our home network using https://github.com/hagezi/dns-blocklists.git and the pro.txt list specifically. Did it with the full expectation that it will cause issues and I will have to dedicate some time to fixing those for the family as everyone is online a lot.

In fact it has not caused a single thing we use to stop working, except regularly causing various things to log failures to track. Some site tries to redirect me to ads, they fail to load. VSCode tries to send stats (?) to Microsoft and logs error in reaching it (but keeps working). All sorts of Windows and Apple tracking gets nuked too, about 1 in 5 dns requests gets killed in a sample of about 8 million requests.

Loving it!

Misspoke about Apple tracking - they must be hiding it in other traffic. Here's the top 15:

426562 | logs.netflix.com

121690 | eu-teams.events.data.microsoft.com

104990 | teams.events.data.microsoft.com

89999 | incoming.telemetry.mozilla.org

83716 | eu-mobile.events.data.microsoft.com

78706 | browser.events.data.microsoft.com

66120 | euc-excel-telemetry.officeapps.live.com

56860 | fls-eu.amazon.co.uk

56618 | eu-office.events.data.microsoft.com

37358 | posthog.element.io

28540 | unagi.amazon.co.uk

22030 | data.pendo.io

20506 | star-randsrv.bsg.brave.com

19130 | mars.prod.ads.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net

16330 | browser.pipe.aria.microsoft.com

Kinda disappointing that element and brave made it into the list above.

Someone successfully released a rumour that it will pump, and ppl would have taken the gamble. You can do that with absolutely any coin.

I did it with Terra Luna after the crash, a friend said he had 'solid info' it will pump.... Of course it didn't and I lost a few bucks when I sold.

I hated bitcoin maxies, then I joined nostr and now I am one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It is not insane as in irrational, what is being done is a concerted effort to achieve insanely evil goals. Since those goals can never be publicly admitted, what is being done seems absurdly counterproductive. The COVID response was a prime example but there are many others.

There is an AI cult in Silicone Valley these days apparently, which says AI will be superior to us and we are just it's temporary birth vessel. I like Joe Rogan, but he keeps spreading that nonsense too.

The fact that some AI researchers think it will be good for humanity to be overtaken and destroyed by AI reminds me of my years in vet school. I had two friends who said, in moments of sincerity, they wanted to invent a virus which kills humanity (neither of them is Fauci lol).

I for one believe in humanity. For all our shortcomings, we keep moving forward and getting better. 200 years ago slavery was the established norm. 100 years ago women could not vote. We may be a part of a fiat slavery system now, but we have found a way out and are more free than and live better lives than ever before. The levels of awareness and intelligence are rising. If, fingers crossed, some warmongering lunatic doesn't end us all in a mushroom cloud, we'll be just fine.

In the UK, some people have found a way to stop paying tax too. Basically, they asked the govt to prove that none of their tax money will be used to fund terrorism - and the govt failed. So they place the taxes in a trust with the govt as the beneficiary, give them some time to react, then take their money back from the trust.
