That's great to hear. I would have felt terrible if I was in her position.
Are you getting more chicks?
Small zaps and big zaps 😮
Poppies are popping. My woods are full of Columbine flowers.

Proof of work:
I spent ~2 hours cleaning and planting the garden plot for the season.
During that time, I listened to the first chapter of #Softwar as read by nostr:npub16as8gepztj9tvyx6n9y4h3cv3gaytgpl3g32jhcxlj6mcss72uaqjwg2tf
Whoa! I cannot wait to finish his thesis!
Nice garden
Where can I get one?
I would love to have a phone with a daylight screen
My Johnson-su inspired compost pile is covered in sunflowers. 😂🌻
I had 400 lbs of sunflower seeds, so the chickens got more than they wanted. The bulk of the materials for the compost are the bedding (collected leaf bags) from the chickens.

I listen to this album when I work out.
Thats what blackberries do.
Those look good. I look forward to berry season I'm just seeing my first raspberry and blackberry flowers.
Okay. I just plugged some with pearl oyster mushrooms a couple weeks ago. I'll keep them low to the ground. Likely in my new mulch basin that I direct roof runnoff
My shiitake logs I piled high on a single pallet. I get some from them when it rains a bunch. I may restack closer to the ground. They are several years old.
This picture is from last September.

Interesting. I have a bunch of red maples that needed thinned, so that is what I used.
What do you mean by colonization process? I just plugged them with spawn and stacked them up.
They spend it on energy drinks and Starbucks then complain they don't have money
That would be very nice

With an ac pump that system would work. With a DC pump, you should be able to wire the solar panel directly to the pump. The pump runs when the sun is out.
I remember seeing a Geoff Lawton video where he uses this setup to aerate a small part of a pond that can be blocked off. He occasionally would feed them in there too. Harvesting was easy with a net once the fish were trapped.
I don't have any recommendations, I'm looking to get some solar this year too.
